The art of acting on stage is analysed here not only from the theoretical perspective of a spectator, but also from the perspective of the actor. The author draws on her experience as both a theatre actor and a university professor whose teachings in the art of acting rely heavily on her own experience and also on her philosophical knowledge. The book is unique not only in terms of its content but also in terms of its style. Written in a multiplicity of voices, the text oscillates between philosophical reasoning and narrative forms of writing, including micro-narratives, fables, parables, and inter alia by Carroll, Hoffmann and Kleist. Hence the book claims that a trans-disciplinary dialogue between the art of acting and the art of philosophical thinking calls for an aesthetical research that questions and begins to seek alternatives to traditionally established and ingrained formats of philosophy. 410 0$aPerformance Philosophy 606 $aMotion picture authorship 606 $aMotion pictures and television 606 $aTheater 606 $aPhilosophy 606 $aPerforming arts 606 $aScreenwriting$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/413140 606 $aScreen Studies$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/413000 606 $aTheatre and Performance Studies$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/415000 606 $aPhilosophy, general$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/E00003 606 $aPerforming Arts$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/415030 615 0$aMotion picture authorship. 615 0$aMotion pictures and television. 615 0$aTheater. 615 0$aPhilosophy. 615 0$aPerforming arts. 615 14$aScreenwriting. 615 24$aScreen Studies. 615 24$aTheatre and Performance Studies. 615 24$aPhilosophy, general. 615 24$aPerforming Arts. 676 $a792.02801 700 $aGranzer$b Susanne$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$0928014 702 $aRadosh$b Laura 702 $aLagaay$b Alice 801 0$bUkMaJRU 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910134808903321 996 $aActors and the Art of Performance$92084827 997 $aUNINA
