The main adopted image-based technologies are RGB, multispectral, and thermal infrared. LiDAR sensors are becoming commonly used to improve the estimation of relevant plant traits. In comparison with other permanent ecosystems, forests are particularly affected by climatic changes due to the longevity of the trees, and the primary objective is the conservation and protection of forests. Nevertheless, forestry and agriculture involve the cultivation of renewable raw materials, with the difference that forestry is less tied to economic aspects and this is reflected by the delay in using new monitoring technologies. The main forestry applications are aimed toward inventory of resources, map diseases, species classification, fire monitoring, and spatial gap estimation. This Special Issue focuses on new technologies (UAV and sensors) and innovative data elaboration methodologies (object recognition and machine vision) for applications in forestry. 517 $aForestry Applications of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles 606 $aBiology, life sciences$2bicssc 606 $aForestry & related industries$2bicssc 606 $aResearch & information: general$2bicssc 610 $aAccuracy Assessment 610 $aancient trees measurement 610 $abiomass evaluation 610 $aburn severity 610 $aCastanea sativa 610 $acentral Oregon 610 $aclassification 610 $aconvolutional neural network 610 $aconvolutional neural network (CNN) 610 $aecohydrology 610 $aend-to-end learning 610 $aestablishment survey 610 $aforest fire 610 $aforest inventory 610 $aforest modeling 610 $aforest regeneration 610 $aForest Sampling 610 $aforestry applications 610 $ahyperspectral imagery 610 $aimage processing 610 $ajuniper woodlands 610 $aleaf-off 610 $aleaf-on 610 $amachine learning 610 $aMauritia flexuosa 610 $amultispectral classification 610 $amultispectral image 610 $aobject-based image analysis (OBIA) 610 $aphotogrammetric point clouds 610 $aPhotogrammetry 610 $aprecision agriculture 610 $aprecision forestry 610 $arangelands 610 $aReference Data 610 $areforestation 610 $aremote sensing 610 $aRemote Sensing 610 $areproduction 610 $aRGB imagery 610 $aRobinia pseudoacacia L. 610 $aseedling detection 610 $aseedling stand inventorying 610 $asemantic segmentation 610 $ashort rotation coppice 610 $aspreading 610 $astructure from motion (SfM) 610 $aThematic Mapping 610 $atree age prediction 610 $aUAV 610 $aUAV photogrammetry 610 $aunmanned aerial system (UAS) 610 $aunmanned aerial systems 610 $aUnmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) 610 $aunmanned aerial vehicles 610 $aunmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) 610 $aUnmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) 615 7$aBiology, life sciences 615 7$aForestry & related industries 615 7$aResearch & information: general 700 $aMatese$b Alessandro$4edt$01293412 702 $aMatese$b Alessandro$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557112103321 996 $aForestry Applications of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) 2019$93022594 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03183nam 2200649zu 450 001 9910133549503321 005 20210807004432.0 010 $a2-87558-171-6 035 $a(CKB)3390000000053679 035 $a(SSID)ssj0001537274 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11821372 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001537274 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)11534571 035 $a(PQKB)10321291 035 $a(WaSeSS)IndRDA00044469 035 $a(FrMaCLE)OB-pucl-607 035 $a(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/46358 035 $a(PPN)182827631 035 $a(oapen)doab46358 035 $a(EXLCZ)993390000000053679 100 $a20160829d2004 uy 101 0 $afre 135 $aur||||||||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aÉnergie, pollution de l'air et développement durable 210 $cPresses universitaires de Louvain$d2004 210 31$a[Place of publication not identified]$cPresses universitaires de Louvain$d2004 215 $a1 online resource (304 pages) 225 1 $aLectures universitaires 300 $aBibliographic Level Mode of Issuance: Monograph 311 08$a2-930344-67-9 330 $aIl n?y a plus grand-monde pour mettre encore en doute le bouleversement profond qui est en train de modifier l?équilibre climatique de notre planète. Force est cependant de constater que cette prise de conscience, indispensable, ne suscite que fort peu d?initiatives pour renverser le cours d?une évolution inquiétante. Peut-être cette insouciance est-elle, au moins en partie, attribuable au fait que nos contemporains accordent encore aux savants, aux chercheurs, aux ingénieurs, le pouvoir de découvrir des ressources minérales, énergétiques, alimentaires, qui soient inédites, propres, inépuisables. Ce livre tente de démontrer qu?il ne faut pas trop se leurrer à ce sujet. La notion même de développement, actuellement basée sur une énergie pratiquement gratuite, risque bien de se révéler d?ores et déjà dépassée par les faits. Une telle démonstration exige que soient clairement exposés, sur une base scientifique, les tenants et aboutissants des problèmes posés, en particulier, par une soif démesurée d?énergie qu?exacerbe une démographie apparemment incontrôlable. 410 0$aLectures universitaires. 606 $aCivil & Environmental Engineering$2HILCC 606 $aEngineering & Applied Sciences$2HILCC 606 $aEnvironmental Engineering$2HILCC 610 $aautomobile 610 $agaz 610 $aénergie 610 $adéveloppement durable 610 $aénergie nucléaire 610 $amachines thermiques 610 $adéchets nucléaires 610 $aressources énergétiques 610 $apollution atmosphérique 610 $apétrole 615 7$aCivil & Environmental Engineering 615 7$aEngineering & Applied Sciences 615 7$aEnvironmental Engineering 700 $aRonneau$b Claude$0891376 801 0$bPQKB 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910133549503321 996 $aÉnergie, pollution de l'air et développement durable$91990983 997 $aUNINA
