Expertise has played an essential role in the historical construction of juvenile violence as a social problem. The expert who is situated at the centre and periphery of the child protection system, gathers the expression of violence and gives it form. In so doing, he/she contributes to a more complex definition of violence: from physical to psychic violence, and even to symbolic violence. Since the 19th century experts have moved beyond making simple diagnoses and entered the field of treatment of violence, joining others in the practice of care and rehabilitation. Physicians, psychiatrists, psychologists, pedagogues, sociologists and anthropologists have addressed the question of youth at risk, helping to define a target population for public policies. 410 0$aHistoire, justice, sociétés. 606 $aExpertise 606 $aJuvenile justice, Administration of 606 $aElectronic books 610 $agang 610 $aviolences urbaines 610 $aprotection des mineurs 610 $aviolences juvéniles 610 $aanormalité (sociologie) 610 $aexpertise psychiatrique 610 $amineurs 610 $apsychiatrie 610 $adélinquance 610 $ajustice des mineurs 610 $aexpertise (justice) 610 $aviolence 615 0$aExpertise. 615 0$aJuvenile justice, Administration of. 615 0$aElectronic books. 676 $a345.7302770269 700 $aAurore François$b Veerle Massin, David Niget (dir.)$4auth$01356879 702 $aDupont$b Magali 702 $aGreg?oire$b Marie-Hl?n?e 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910132247703321 996 $aViolences juvn?iles sous expertise(s) XIXe-XXIe sic?les = Expertise and juvenile violence$93361905 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04227nam 22005535 450 001 996445851803316 005 20240305214722.0 010 $a3-11-059089-1 010 $a3-11-059151-0 024 7 $a10.1515/9783110591514 035 $a(CKB)4100000006671752 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5516740 035 $a(DE-B1597)493435 035 $a(OCoLC)1054064517 035 $a(DE-B1597)9783110591514 035 $a(ScCtBLL)5cab39f6-9260-4d10-af34-8117b01d1d39 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000006671752 100 $a20190516d2018 fg 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aAs You Law It - Negotiating Shakespeare /$fDaniela Carpi, François Ost 210 1$aBerlin ;$aBoston :$cDe Gruyter,$d[2018] 210 4$d©2018 215 $a1 online resource (282 pages) 225 0 $aLaw & Literature ;$v15 311 $a3-11-059082-4 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $tFrontmatter --$tTable Of Contents --$tIntroduction --$tShakespeare And The Law: State Of The Art /$rCarpi, Daniela --$tAs You Law It...: Of Certain Objects And Functions Of Ambiguity In Shakespearean Theatre /$rOst, François --$tPart One The Body Politic And Power Politics --$tKing John Or The Proliferation Of The Word Of Authority /$rCarpi, Daniela --$tRichard The Freak: The Dis-Ability To Show Power /$rBattisti, Chiara --$tPerformance, Power, Politics: The Body As Stage In Richard Iii /$rFiorato, Sidia --$tThe Subjugation Of International Law To Power Politics And Mystery Of State (Arcana Imperii) In Shakespeare'S Henry V /$rBen-Nun, Gilad --$tPart Two Ethnicity And Alterity --$tEthnicity, Alterity And The Law In Shakespeare'S The Merchant Of Venice /$rAntor, Heinz --$tShakespeare'S Twin Brother: Foreigners, Outlaws, And The Comedy Of Errors /$rRaffield, Paul --$tPart Three Legal Theory --$tFuss About A Footnote, Or The Struggle For (The) Law In German Legal Theory /$rGaakeer, Jeanne --$tMeasure For Measure: Are Criminal Laws Made To Be Applied? /$rOst, François --$tMeasure In Penal Law /$rSgubbi, Filippo --$tAre The Conspirators Purgers Or Murderers? The general impression one derives from the analysis of many plays by Shakespeare is that of a legal situation in transformation and of a dynamically changing relation between law and society, law and the jurisdiction of Renaissance times. Shakespeare provides the kind of literary supplement that can better illustrate the legal texts of the sixteenth and early seventeenth centuries. There was a strong popular participation in the system of justice, and late sixteenth-century playwrights often made use of forensic models of narrative. Uncertainty about legal issues represented a rich potential for causing strong reactions in the public, especially feelings concerning the resistance to tyranny. The volume aims at highlighting some of the many legal perspectives and debates emplotted in Shakespearean plays, also taking into consideration the many texts that have been produced during the latest years on law and literature in the Renaissance. 410 0$aLaw & literature (De Gruyter) ;$vVolume 15.$x2191-8457 606 $aLaw in literature 610 $aRenaissance theatre. 610 $aShakespeare. 610 $alaw. 610 $aliterature. 615 0$aLaw in literature. 676 $a822.3/3 702 $aCarpi$b Daniela 702 $aOst$b François 712 02$aKnowledge Unlatched$4fnd$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/fnd 801 0$bDE-B1597 801 1$bDE-B1597 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996445851803316 996 $aAs You Law It - Negotiating Shakespeare$91896535 997 $aUNISA
