The archaeological sequence which has been brought to light stretches without interruption from the start of the third millennium up to the fourteenth century AD. This report records the results of the eighteenth excavation campaign, carried out by the group from the University of Florence and from the "Federico II" University of Naples. In Area G, the excavation of the chapel dating to the third millennium proceeded, bringing to light a palatine building that can be attributed to the Mid Assyrian King Adad-Nirari I. In Areas A and J, the Parthian, Hellenistic and Achemenidian layers were excavated up to the level of the Neo-Babylonian reoccupation of the Assyrian palace of Tukulti-Ninurta II. As regards the Parthian phase, investigation has proceeded on the Great Defensive Wall and on the large edifice in the lower city. The text, delivered for printing in July 2005, was published following the tragic death of Paolo Emilio Pecorella, which took place on 29 August in Tell Barri, in the course of the excavation campaign. 410 0$aRicerche e materiali del Vicino Oriente antico ;$v3. 606 $aExcavations (Archaeology)$zSyria$zBarri, Tell 606 $aRegions & Countries - Asia & the Middle East$2HILCC 606 $aHistory & Archaeology$2HILCC 606 $aMiddle East$2HILCC 607 $aBarri, Tell (Syria) 607 $aSyria$xAntiquities 610 $aarchaeological excavations 610 $aarchaeological sources 610 $atell barri 610 $ascavi archeologici 610 $afonti archeologiche 610 $akahat 615 0$aExcavations (Archaeology) 615 7$aRegions & Countries - Asia & the Middle East 615 7$aHistory & Archaeology 615 7$aMiddle East 676 $a307.09 700 $aPecorella$b Paolo Emilio$0153117 701 $aPierobon Benoit$b Raffaella$0320197 712 02$aUniversitą di Firenze.$bDipartimento di scienze dell'antichitą "Giorgio Pasquali." 712 02$aMissione archeologica italiana a Tell Barri (Siria) 801 0$bItFiC 801 2$bDLC 801 2$bUkMaJRU 912 $a9910132006103321 996 $aTell Barri$92101881 997 $aUNINA LEADER 02276nam 2200625Ia 450 001 9910780002503321 005 20230617031427.0 010 $a0-309-16886-4 010 $a1-280-18305-5 010 $a9786610183050 010 $a0-309-50362-0 035 $a(CKB)111069351130726 035 $a(OCoLC)52808781 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebrary10038648 035 $a(SSID)ssj0000196236 035 $a(PQKBManifestationID)11169303 035 $a(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000196236 035 $a(PQKBWorkID)10142279 035 $a(PQKB)10125718 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC3375375 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL3375375 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr10038648 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL18305 035 $a(OCoLC)923255946 035 $a(EXLCZ)99111069351130726 100 $a20021007d2003 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcn||||||||| 181 $ctxt 182 $cc 183 $acr 200 10$aMalaria control during mass population movements and natural disasters$b[electronic resource] /$fPeter B. Justifying Judicial Review -- 2. The Traditional Ultra Vires Principle -- 3. Legislative Frameworks and the Control of Discretionary Power -- 4. The Modified Ultra Vires Principle -- 5. Beyond the Logical Boundary? Judicial Review of Non-Statutory Power -- 6. Judicial Review and Human Rights -- 7. The Constitutional Foundations of Judicial Review 330 8 $aRecent years have witnessed a vibrant debate concerning the constitutional basis of judicial review, which reflects a broader discourse about the role of the courts, and their relationship with the other institutions of government, within the constitutional order. This book comprehensively analyses the foundations of judicial review. It subjects the traditional justification, based on the doctrine of ultra vires, to criticial scrutiny and fundamental reformulation, and it addresses the theoretical challenges posed by the impact of the Human Rights Act 1998 on administrative law and by the extension of judicial review to prerogative and non-statutory powers. It also explores the relationship between the theoretical basis of administrative law and its practical capacity to safeguard individuals against maladministration. The book seeks to develop a constitutional rationale for judicial review which founds its legitimacy in core principles such as the rule of law, the separation of powers and the sovereignty of Parliament. It presents a detailed analysis of the interface between constitutional and administrative law, and will be of interest to all public lawyers 606 $aJudicial review of administrative acts$zGreat Britain 606 $2Constitutional & administrative law 615 0$aJudicial review of administrative acts 676 $a347.41012 700 $aElliott$b Mark$f1975-$01496597 801 0$bUtOrBLW 801 1$bUtOrBLW 801 2$bUkLoBP 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910784264703321 996 $aThe constitutional foundations of judicial review$93721382 997 $aUNINA
