The exhibition catalog not only documents all the objects on display, but also provides brief introductory information on the historical background. During the Third Reich, almost all academic libraries included books in their holdings that came from the confiscated libraries of workers' associations and other organizations that were stolen by the National Socialists during raids on bookshops and publishers and passed on to libraries that private individuals were forced to hand over or that were looted in the occupied territories during the war. Many other examples could be given. The present exhibition catalog gives an insight into the contemporary practice of a university library in dealing with Nazi looted and looted books, as they are called today. 410 0$aGöttinger Bibliotheksschriften ;$v38. 606 $aLibraries and national socialism$xHistory$vExhibitions 606 $aProhibited books$zGermany$xHistory$y20th century$vExhibitions 606 $aBook thefts$zGermany$xHistory$y20th century$vExhibitions 606 $aConfiscations$zGermany$xHistory$y20th century$vExhibitions 606 $aLanguages & Literatures$2HILCC 606 $aGermanic Literature$2HILCC 615 0$aLibraries and national socialism$xHistory 615 0$aProhibited books$xHistory 615 0$aBook thefts$xHistory 615 0$aConfiscations$xHistory 615 7$aLanguages & Literatures 615 7$aGermanic Literature 701 $aBartels$b Nicole$0987138 701 $aMöbus$b Frank$0801255 712 02$aNiedersächsische Staats- und Universitätsbibliothek Göttingen. 801 0$bNyNyMAR 801 2$bUkMaJRU 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910130752403321 996 $aBücher unter Verdacht$92256033 997 $aUNINA
