Who are the individuals who have carried out these attacks? Were they born and raised in the West? Or were they an ?imported threat?, refugees and migrants? How did they radicalize? Were they well educated and integrated, or social outcasts? Did they act alone? What were their connections to the Islamic State? The answers to these and other questions have large implications for our understanding of the threat facing us and, consequently, help us design sounder policy solutions built on empirical evidence. This study, the first of its kind, seeks to analyze the demographic profile, radicalization trajectories and connections to the Islamic State of all the individuals who have carried out attacks inspired by jihadist ideology in North America and Europe in the three years since the proclamation of the caliphate in June 2014. 517 $aFear Thy Neighbor 606 $aTerrorism$zEurope 615 0$aTerrorism 676 $a303.625094 700 $aVidino$b Lorenzo$0761743 702 $aMarone$b Francesco 702 $aEntenmann$b Eva 801 0$bNjHacI 801 1$bNjHacl 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910220009403321 996 $aFear thy neighbor$93084532 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01829nam0 22004213i 450 001 RMS0054394 005 20231121125806.0 100 $a20081003d1928 ||||0itac50 ba 101 | $alat$afre$clat 102 $afr 181 1$6z01$ai $bxxxe 182 1$6z01$an 200 1 $a˜L'œamitié$fCicéron$gtexte établi et traduit par L. Mr. Ness was popularly credited with the downfall of Chicago organized crime czar Alphonse Capone. The FBI information concerns the relationship between Mr. Ness and the FBI while he served as Director of Public Safety in Cleveland, Ohio during the 1930's and other law enforcement positions he later held. 311 08$a9780143126287 311 08$a0143126288 330 8 $aThe story of Eliot Ness, the legendary lawman who led the Untouchables, took on Al Capone, and saved a citys soulAs leader of an unprecedented crime-busting squad, twenty-eight-year-old Eliot Ness won fame for taking on notorious mobster Al Capone. But the Untouchables daring raids were only the beginning of Nesss unlikely story. This new biography grapples with the charismatic lawmans complicated, largely forgotten legacy. Perry chronicles Nesss days in Chicago as well as his spectacular second act in Cleveland, where he achieved his greatest success: purging the profoundly corrupt city and forging new practices that changed police work across the country. He also faced one of his greatest challenges: a mysterious serial killer known as the Torso Murderer. Capturing the first complete portrait of the real Eliot Ness, Perry brings to life an unorthodox man who believed in the integrity of law and the power of American justice. 606 $aDetectives--United States--Biography 615 0$aDetectives--United States--Biography. 676 $a363.25092 700 $aPerry$b Douglas$01351507 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910698574903321 996 $aEliot Ness$93114207 997 $aUNINA
