Beach nourishment has evolved as the favored erosion-mitigation strategy in many areas of the world. The increasing number of people living on the coast, the safety of those people, and the high values of coastal properties are all factors that have made beach nourishment a cost-effective strategy for managing erosion in many locations. However, a new scenario of sand scarcity and environmental care has arisen in recent decades. There have been many different and interesting cases of various aspects of beach nourishment in recent years. The purpose of this invited Special Issue is to publish the most exciting experience and research with respect to this topic. Thus, novel techniques for designing, executing, and controlling these kinds of works as well as different case studies and their monitoring results and conclusions have been included, in order to present an updated state of the art for marine scientists, researchers, and engineers. 517 $aBeach Nourishment 606 $aTechnology: general issues$2bicssc 610 $aaerial photogrammetry 610 $abeach evaluation 610 $abeach nourishment 610 $abeach nourishment assessment 610 $abeach profile imbalance 610 $abeach restoration 610 $abeach-spawning fishes 610 $aCancun beach 610 $aCIOH 610 $acoastal erosion 610 $aColombian Caribbean 610 $acolour compatibility 610 $acost 610 $aDIMAR 610 $aDTM 610 $aecosystem management 610 $aerosion 610 $aessential fish habitat 610 $afill stability 610 $aGCPs 610 $ageologically controlled beach 610 $ahuman impacts 610 $ahurricane damage 610 $akey coastal erosion 610 $alittoral systems 610 $amagnetic method 610 $amarine geophysics 610 $amodelling 610 $amonitoring 610 $amultidata approach 610 $an/a 610 $aoutfall 610 $aperched beaches 610 $areproductive habitat 610 $aRPAS 610 $asand engine 610 $asediment budget 610 $asedimentary dynamics 610 $aSfM 610 $ashore protection 610 $astakeholders 610 $asubstrate 610 $aUAV 610 $avisualisation 610 $avolume density 610 $aXBeach 615 7$aTechnology: general issues 700 $aMunoz-Perez$b Juan J$4edt$01322380 702 $aMoreno$b Luis$4edt 702 $aMunoz-Perez$b Juan J$4oth 702 $aMoreno$b Luis$4oth 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910557337703321 996 $aBeach Nourishment: A 21st Century Review$93034935 997 $aUNINA
