In this context, the complexity of the educational process and the debate over the purpose of schooling is lost. This book brings together leading scholars of education to analyze these issues and engage the public in different ways of looking at school. 606 $aEducation and state 606 $aEducational sociology 606 $aEducation$xPhilosophy 606 $aChemistry, Organic 606 $aSchool management and organization 606 $aSchool management and organization 606 $aEducational Policy and Politics 606 $aSociology of Education 606 $aEducational Philosophy 606 $aOrganic Chemistry 606 $aOrganization and Leadership 615 0$aEducation and state. 615 0$aEducational sociology. 615 0$aEducation$xPhilosophy. 615 0$aChemistry, Organic. 615 0$aSchool management and organization. 615 0$aSchool management and organization. 615 14$aEducational Policy and Politics. 615 24$aSociology of Education. 615 24$aEducational Philosophy. 615 24$aOrganic Chemistry. 615 24$aOrganization and Leadership. 676 $a379.73 701 $aSteinberg$b Shirley R.$f1952-$01793310 701 $aKincheloe$b Joe L$0309010 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910957110503321 996 $aWhat You Don't Know About Schools$94333006 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03991nam 22006735 450 001 9910300529403321 005 20200702031948.0 010 $a3-319-96280-9 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-319-96280-1 035 $a(CKB)4100000005472003 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-319-96280-1 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5485323 035 $a(PPN)229915434 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000005472003 100 $a20180801d2018 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurnn|008mamaa 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aReal-Time Quantum Dynamics of Electron?Phonon Systems /$fby Valerio Rizzi 205 $a1st ed. 2018. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Springer,$d2018. 215 $a1 online resource (XVIII, 175 p. 70 illus., 28 illus. in color.) 225 1 $aSpringer Theses, Recognizing Outstanding Ph.D. Research,$x2190-5053 311 $a3-319-96279-5 327 $aPhysical Motivation -- Effective Temperature Methods -- Atomistic Methods -- The ECEID Method -- ECEID Validation -- Thermalization with ECEID -- Inelastic Electron Injection in Water -- A New Development: ECEID xp. 330 $aThis book develops a methodology for the real-time coupled quantum dynamics of electrons and phonons in nanostructures, both isolated structures and those open to an environment. It then applies this technique to both fundamental and practical problems that are relevant, in particular, to nanodevice physics, laser?matter interaction, and radiation damage in living tissue. The interaction between electrons and atomic vibrations (phonons) is an example of how a process at the heart of quantum dynamics can impact our everyday lives. This is e.g. how electrical current generates heat, making your toaster work. It is also a key process behind many crucial problems down to the atomic and molecular scale, such as the functionality of nanoscale electronic devices, the relaxation of photo-excited systems, the energetics of systems under irradiation, and thermoelectric effects. Electron?phonon interactions represent a difficult many-body problem. Fairly standard techniques are available for tackling cases in which one of the two subsystems can be treated as a steady-state bath for the other, but determining the simultaneous coupled dynamics of the two poses a real challenge. This book tackles precisely this problem. 410 0$aSpringer Theses, Recognizing Outstanding Ph.D. Research,$x2190-5053 606 $aAtoms 606 $aPhysics 606 $aSuperconductivity 606 $aSuperconductors 606 $aQuantum theory 606 $aNanoscience 606 $aNanoscience 606 $aNanostructures 606 $aAtoms and Molecules in Strong Fields, Laser Matter Interaction$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P24025 606 $aStrongly Correlated Systems, Superconductivity$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P25064 606 $aQuantum Physics$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P19080 606 $aNanoscale Science and Technology$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P25140 615 0$aAtoms. 615 0$aPhysics. 615 0$aSuperconductivity. 615 0$aSuperconductors. 615 0$aQuantum theory. 615 0$aNanoscience. 615 0$aNanoscience. 615 0$aNanostructures. 615 14$aAtoms and Molecules in Strong Fields, Laser Matter Interaction. 615 24$aStrongly Correlated Systems, Superconductivity. 615 24$aQuantum Physics. 615 24$aNanoscale Science and Technology. 676 $a539 700 $aRizzi$b Valerio$4aut$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut$01061661 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910300529403321 996 $aReal-Time Quantum Dynamics of Electron?Phonon Systems$92519500 997 $aUNINA
