Using the elements of architecture, they begin with a foundation of character and values, move to a floor representing a drive to achieve combined with the capacity to care, and continue with the framework of innate traits and acquired skills to the ceiling and roof of opportunity and performance, respectively. Supporting it all are the pillars of honesty, integrity, courage, respect, commitment, trust, ethics, and hard work. 606 $aLeadership 606 $aMilitary art and science 615 0$aLeadership. 615 0$aMilitary art and science. 676 $a303.3/4 676 $a303.34 700 $aPhillips$b Donald T$g(Donald Thomas),$f1952-$014267 701 $aLoy$b James M.$f1942-$01101951 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910821595603321 996 $aThe architecture of leadership$94005714 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03823nam 22007335 450 001 9910726275103321 005 20251009072138.0 010 $a9789811977725$b(electronic bk.) 010 $z9789811977718 024 7 $a10.1007/978-981-19-7772-5 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC30547230 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL30547230 035 $a(OCoLC)1380356652 035 $a(DE-He213)978-981-19-7772-5 035 $a(BIP)085860806 035 $a(PPN)270612599 035 $a(CKB)26736423800041 035 $a(EXLCZ)9926736423800041 100 $a20230520d2023 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aAnalysis of Thin-Walled Beams /$fby Yoon Young Kim, Gang-Won Jang, Soomin Choi 205 $a1st ed. 2023. 210 1$aSingapore :$cSpringer Nature Singapore :$cImprint: Springer,$d2023. 215 $a1 online resource (381 pages) $cillustrations (black and white, and color) 225 1 $aSolid Mechanics and Its Applications,$x2214-7764 ;$v257 311 08$aPrint version: Kim, Yoon Young Analysis of Thin-Walled Beams Singapore : Springer,c2023 9789811977718 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $aPreface -- 1 Introduction -- Part I Thin-walled Beams of Rectangular Cross Section -- 2 Higher-Order Beam Theory for Straight Box Beams -- 3 Joint Matching Matrix Approach -- 4 Multiply-Connected Box Beam Systems under Out-of-Plane Loads -- 5 Multiply-Connected Box Beam Systems under In-Plane Loads -- Part II Analysis of Arbitrarily Sectioned Beams -- 6 Straight Beams of Arbitrarily Shaped Sections -- 7 Arbitrarily Sectioned Beams of Varying Profiles -- 8 Analysis for Arbitrarily-Connected Beam Joints and Beam-Panel Structures -- Appendix -- References -- Index. 330 $aThis book presents a comprehensive introduction to an advanced beam theory applicable to thin-walled beams of rectangular and arbitrarily-shaped cross-sections. Furthermore, it describes a unique beam-based approach to handling joint structures consisting of thin-walled beams, compiled here for the first time. This higher-order beam theory (HoBT), developed by the authors over the past two decades, uses more than six degrees of freedom (DOFs) in contrast to the classical theories, which use only six DOFs. The additional degrees of freedom describe sectional deformations such as warping and distortion. This book presents a novel systematic procedure to derive the sectional deformations analytically for rectangular cross-sections and numerically for arbitrarily-shaped cross-sections. This book is a must for structural/mechanical engineers who wish to understand and design structures involving thin-walled beams. 410 0$aSolid Mechanics and Its Applications,$x2214-7764 ;$v257 606 $aMechanics, Applied 606 $aSolids 606 $aEngineering design 606 $aBuilding construction 606 $aIndustries 606 $aSolid Mechanics 606 $aSolid Mechanics 606 $aEngineering Design 606 $aSolid Construction 606 $aIndustries 615 0$aMechanics, Applied. 615 0$aSolids. 615 0$aEngineering design. 615 0$aBuilding construction. 615 0$aIndustries. 615 14$aSolid Mechanics. 615 24$aSolid Mechanics. 615 24$aEngineering Design. 615 24$aSolid Construction. 615 24$aIndustries. 676 $a301 700 $aKim$b Yoon Young$c(Professor of mechanical engineering),$01359482 702 $aJang$b Gang-Won 702 $aChoi$b Soomin 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 912 $a9910726275103321 996 $aAnalysis of Thin-Walled Beams$93373980 997 $aUNINA
