Basic principles, operative conditions, applications, performance, and limiting features are supplied, together with current advances in instrumental apparatus. Each chapter is devoted to one technique and is self-consistent; the end-of-chapter references would allow the reader a quick access to more detailed information. After an introductory chapter, techniques that can interrogate the very shallow depth of a polymer surface, spanning from the top few angstroms in secondary ions mass spectrometry to 2-10 nm in X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy are discussed, followed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and chapters on characterization by scanning probe microscopy, electron microscopies, wettability and spectroscopic ellipsometry. 410 0$aDe Gruyter graduate. 606 $aPolymers$xSurfaces$xAnalysis 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aPolymers$xSurfaces$xAnalysis. 676 $a547/.70453 702 $aSabbatini$b Luigia 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910463546903321 996 $aPolymer surface characterization$92490044 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01151nam0-2200361---450 001 990010045850403321 005 20250930125600.0 020 $aIT$b648429 035 $a001004585 035 $aFED01001004585 035 $a(Aleph)001004585FED01 035 $a001004585 100 $a20160224d1964----km-y0itay50------ba 101 0 $aita 102 $aIT 105 $ay-------001yy 200 1 $aCosmologia$einediti$eTheologicorum liber III$ftesto critico e traduzione a cura di Romano Amerio 210 $aRoma$cCentro internazionale di studi umanistici$d1964 215 $a210 p.$d24 cm 225 1 $aEdizione nazionale dei classici del pensiero italiano$iSerie II$v17 517 1 $aThomae Campanellae Theologicorum, liber 3. 610 0 $aCampanella, Tommaso$aPensiero teologico$aCosmologia 676 $a113$v20 676 $a195$v20 700 1$aCampanella,$bTommaso$f<1568-1639>$0318012 702 1$aAmerio,$bRomano 801 0$aIT$bUNINA$gRICA$2UNIMARC 901 $aBK 912 $a990010045850403321 952 $a191.12 CAMT 22 (17)$bIST.FIL.T.2085$fFLFBC 959 $aFLFBC 996 $aCosmologia$9861716 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04696nam 22007575 450 001 9910647393003321 005 20251008153442.0 010 $a9783031235511$b(electronic bk.) 010 $z9783031235504 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-031-23551-1 035 $a(PPN)279994699 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC7187655 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL7187655 035 $a(CKB)26069079100041 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-031-23551-1 035 $a(EXLCZ)9926069079100041 100 $a20230129d2023 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aTerrorism in Contemporary France $eA Vicious Circle of Violence /$fby Jan Eichler 205 $a1st ed. 2023. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Springer,$d2023. 215 $a1 online resource (169 pages) 225 1 $aContributions to Political Science,$x2198-7297 311 08$aPrint version: Eichler, Jan Terrorism in Contemporary France Cham : Springer International Publishing AG,c2023 9783031235504 327 $aChapter 1. Conclusion of the Book. 330 $aThis book examines radical Jihad terrorism in contemporary France and sheds light on the vicious circle of violence, based on reciprocity. Building upon the theoretical heritage of Pierre Bourdieu, the book develops a methodology and a concept of the vicious circle of violence in France, based on three pillars: actors, dynamics, and effects. Discussing the development of global terrorism between the 9/11 attacks and the launch of the European front against global terror in Spain and Great Britain, the book goes on to analyze why France has not been attacked during the 2000s and why it, in turn, became a primary target of terrorist attacks during the 2010s, with a special emphasis on communication theory and the concept of reciprocity. Studying these attacks on the international level, the book offers insights into violent acts of revenge of the radical home-grown jihadists for the French military interventions in four Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) countries, especially Libya and Syria. It further investigates the following growing radicalization of the Muslim community on the national level as a reason for terrorist attacks. Finally, the book sheds light on the reactions from within the French military to these developments, before closing with a presentation of the new political context after the 2022 presidential and legislative elections. Based on empirical evidence and a theoretical background this book will appeal to students and scholars of political science and international relations, as well as policy-makers and practitioners interested in a better understanding of terrorism, French politics, and communication theory. 410 0$aContributions to Political Science,$x2198-7297 606 $aTerrorism 606 $aPolitical violence 606 $aEurope$xPolitics and government 606 $aSecurity, International 606 $aCommunication in politics 606 $aInternational relations 606 $aPolitical science 606 $aTerrorism and Political Violence 606 $aEuropean Politics 606 $aInternational Security Studies 606 $aPolitical Communication 606 $aInternational Relations Theory 606 $aPolitical Theory 615 0$aTerrorism. 615 0$aPolitical violence. 615 0$aEurope$xPolitics and government. 615 0$aSecurity, International. 615 0$aCommunication in politics. 615 0$aInternational relations. 615 0$aPolitical science. 615 14$aTerrorism and Political Violence. 615 24$aEuropean Politics. 615 24$aInternational Security Studies. 615 24$aPolitical Communication. 615 24$aInternational Relations Theory. 615 24$aPolitical Theory. 676 $a363.3250944 676 $a303.62509440905 700 $aEichler$b Jan$0864049 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 912 $a9910647393003321 996 $aTerrorism in Contemporary France$93010125 997 $aUNINA
