In this book, after outlining the socio-cultural context of the day, Isabel Sanfeliu examines Abraham's life as a student, his family environment and his first steps as a physician and psychoanalyst. As a clinical doctor Abraham was calm and detached, and a good example of a stable and objective analyst. Despite his strong personality, his loyalty towards Freud never wavered. At the pioneering Psychoanalytic Institute which he founded and directed in Berlin, he established a series of professional standards which are still observed today. The present book is organised around an examination of Abraham's psychoanalytic work, according to his different fields of interest, before going on to consider his rigorously conducted clinical research. Abrahams's findings regarding the positive role of aggression in the development of the baby constitutes one of his original theories, as does the establishment of boundaries with the onset of object love. 606 $aPsychoanalysts$vBiography 615 0$aPsychoanalysts 676 $a150.1950922 700 $aSanfeliu$b Isabel$01520586 801 0$bFlBoTFG 801 1$bFlBoTFG 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910786839203321 996 $aKarl Abraham$93759274 997 $aUNINA LEADER 05497nam 2200589 450 001 9910815186203321 005 20230629171918.0 010 $a0-231-85092-1 024 7 $a10.7312/funn17614 035 $a(CKB)3710000000543639 035 $a(EBL)4103757 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC4103757 035 $a(DE-B1597)460989 035 $a(OCoLC)1013940140 035 $a(OCoLC)931853474 035 $a(DE-B1597)9780231850926 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL4103757 035 $a(CaPaEBR)ebr11210361 035 $a(CaONFJC)MIL878153 035 $a(OCoLC)951064993 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000000543639 100 $a20160527h20152015 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aur|n|---||||| 181 $2rdacontent 182 $2rdamedia 183 $2rdacarrier 200 00$aFor his eyes only $ethe women of James Bond /$fedited by Lisa Funnell ; foreword by Christoph Lindner 205 $aPilot project. eBook available to selected US libraries only 210 1$aLondon, [England] ;$aNew York :$cWallflower Press,$d2015. 210 4$d©2015 215 $a1 online resource (328 p.) 300 $aDescription based upon print version of record. 311 $a0-231-17614-7 311 $a0-231-17615-5 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references and index. 327 $tFrontmatter -- $tTable of Contents -- $tAcknowledgements -- $tContributor List -- $tForeword / $rLindner, Christoph -- $tIntroduction. It earned over one billion dollars in the worldwide box office and won two Academy Awards. Amid popular and critical acclaim, some have questioned the representation of women in the film. From an aging M to the limited role of the Bond Girl and the characterization of Miss Moneypenny as a defunct field agent, Skyfall develops the legacy of Bond at the expense of women.Since Casino Royale (2006) and its sequels Quantum of Solace (2008) and Skyfall constitute a reboot of the franchise, it is time to question whether there is a place for women in the new world of James Bond and what role they will play in the future of series. This volume answers these questions by examining the role that women have historically played in the franchise, which greatly contributed to the international success of the films. This academic study constitutes the first book-length anthology on femininity and feminism in the Bond series. It covers all twenty-three Eon productions as well as the spoof Casino Royale (1967), considering a range of factors that have shaped the depiction of women in the franchise, including female characterization in Ian Fleming's novels; the vision of producer Albert R. Broccoli and other creative personnel; the influence of feminism; and broader trends in British and American film and television. The volume provides a timely look at women in the Bond franchise and offers new scholarly perspectives on the subject. 606 $aJames Bond films$xHistory and criticism 606 $aWomen in motion pictures 615 0$aJames Bond films$xHistory and criticism. 615 0$aWomen in motion pictures. 676 $a791.43651 702 $aFunnell$b Lisa 702 $aLindner$b Christoph 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910815186203321 996 $aFor his eyes only$94070953 997 $aUNINA
