Since the 1990s, the Internet has become the main driving force behind application development in all domains. An increase in the demand for resource sharing across different sites connected through networks has led to an evolution of data- and knowledge-management systems from centralized systems to decentralized systems enabling large-scale distributed applications providing high scalability. Current decentralized systems still focus on data and knowledge as their main resource. Feasibility of these systems relies basically on P2P (peer-to-peer) techniques and the support of agent systems with scaling and decentralized control. Synergy between grids, P2P systems and agent technologies is the key to data- and knowledge-centered systems in large-scale environments. This, the 17th issue of Transactions on Large-Scale Data- and Knowledge-Centered Systems, contains extended and revised versions of five papers, selected from the 24 full and 8 short papers presented at the 15th International Conference on Data Warehousing and Knowledge Discovery, DaWaK 2013, held in Prague, The Czech Republic, in August 2013. Of the five papers, two cover data warehousing aspects related to query processing optimization in advanced platforms, specifically Map Reduce and parallel databases, and three cover knowledge discovery, specifically the causal network inference problem, dimensionality reduction, and the quality-of-pattern-mining task. 410 0$aTransactions on Large-Scale Data- and Knowledge-Centered Systems,$x1869-1994 ;$v8970 606 $aDatabase management 606 $aData mining 606 $aArtificial intelligence 606 $aInformation storage and retrieval 606 $aAlgorithms 606 $aDatabase Management$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I18024 606 $aData Mining and Knowledge Discovery$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I18030 606 $aArtificial Intelligence$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I21000 606 $aInformation Storage and Retrieval$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I18032 606 $aAlgorithm Analysis and Problem Complexity$3https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I16021 615 0$aDatabase management. 615 0$aData mining. 615 0$aArtificial intelligence. 615 0$aInformation storage and retrieval. 615 0$aAlgorithms. 615 14$aDatabase Management. 615 24$aData Mining and Knowledge Discovery. 615 24$aArtificial Intelligence. 615 24$aInformation Storage and Retrieval. 615 24$aAlgorithm Analysis and Problem Complexity. 676 $a005.745 702 $aHameurlain$b Abdelkader$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aKüng$b Josef$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aWagner$b Roland$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aBellatreche$b Ladjel$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 702 $aMohania$b Mukesh$4edt$4http://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edt 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a996198829103316 996 $aTransactions on Large-Scale Data- and Knowledge-Centered Systems XVII$92831583 997 $aUNISA 999 $aThis Record contains information from the Harvard Library Bibliographic Dataset, which is provided by the Harvard Library under its Bibliographic Dataset Use Terms and includes data made available by, among others the Library of Congress LEADER 03767nam 22006375 450 001 9910337843103321 005 20251022060404.0 010 $a3-030-21395-1 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-030-21395-4 035 $a(CKB)4100000008217429 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-030-21395-4 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC5925636 035 $a(PPN)236522973 035 $a(EXLCZ)994100000008217429 100 $a20190518d2019 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurnn|008mamaa 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aKnowledge Graphs and Semantic Web $eFirst Iberoamerican Conference, KGSWC 2019, Villa Clara, Cuba, June 23-30, 2019, Proceedings /$fedited by Boris Villazón-Terrazas, Yusniel Hidalgo-Delgado 205 $a1st ed. 2019. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer International Publishing :$cImprint: Springer,$d2019. 215 $a1 online resource (XII, 201 p. 59 illus., 38 illus. in color.) 225 1 $aCommunications in Computer and Information Science,$x1865-0937 ;$v1029 311 08$a3-030-21394-3 327 $aA Model for Language Annotations on the Web -- A Description Logic for Unifying Different Points of View -- OceanGraph: Some Initial Steps Toward a Oceanographic Knowledge Graph -- Digital Repositories and Linked Data: Lessons Learned and Challenges -- Author-Topic Classication based on Semantic Knowledge -- A General Process for the Semantic Annotation and Enrichment of Electronic Program Guides -- Extraction of Semantic Web Statements from Text -- Meta-modelling Ontology Design Pattern -- Automated Large Geographic Ontologies Generation Method from Spatial Databases. -Towards the Semantic Enrichment of Existing Online 3D Building Geometry to Publish Linked Building Data -- A Method for Automatically Generating Schema Diagrams for Modular Ontologies.-Conformance Test Cases for the RDF Mapping Language (RML) -- Expressive Context Modeling with Description Logics. -Dimensions Affecting Representation Styles in Ontologies. 330 $aThis book constitutes the thoroughly refereed proceedings of the First Iberoamerican Conference, KGSWC 2019, held in Villa Clara, Cuba, in June 2019.
