An Information Revolution? -- $tNotes -- $tBibliography -- $tIndex 330 $aThis study provides Canada's first comprehensive, integrated treatment of the emergence and development of key communication sectors: telegraph telephones, cable TV, broadcasting, communication satellites, and electronic publishing. By focusing on real institutions, actual (and frequently predatory) business practices, and law and regulatory policies, in both historical and contemporary perspectives, Babe helps demystify current communication issues.Stressing the flexibility of communication 'technologies' on the one hand, and the element of corporate power on the other, Babe reintroduces the principle of corporate/governmental responsibility for communication outcomes, a principle that has been largely drowned out by the shrill cries of 'Information Revolution.' 606 $aTelecommunication$zCanada$xHistory 606 $aTelecommunication policy$zCanada$xHistory 608 $aElectronic books. 615 0$aTelecommunication$xHistory. 615 0$aTelecommunication policy$xHistory. 676 $a384/.0971 700 $aBabe$b Robert E.$0973097 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910455923403321 996 $aTelecommunications in Canada$92479261 997 $aUNINA LEADER 03519 am 2200829 n 450 001 9910214919303321 005 20170209 010 $a2-86906-475-6 024 7 $a10.4000/books.pufr.4607 035 $a(CKB)3710000001633573 035 $a(FrMaCLE)OB-pufr-4607 035 $a(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/47817 035 $a(PPN)202672425 035 $a(EXLCZ)993710000001633573 100 $a20170601j|||||||| ||| 0 101 0 $afre 135 $auu||||||m|||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aFonctions du Cliché : du Banal à la Violence /$fClaudine Raynaud, Peter Vernon 210 $aTours $cPresses universitaires François-Rabelais$d2017 215 $a1 online resource (201 p.) 330 $aThe first meaning of the word "cliché" is "positive": in typography a cliché is a metal plate upon which an image is reproduced in relief. In photography, however, cliché is a "negative" and, indeed, its most current acceptation is that of commonplace, banality, cultural stereotype, repetition. It makes reproduction possible and authorizes it. Bearing the positive and negative poles in mind, together with the dynamic of their potential inversion, one arrives at the core of the concept of cliché. The aim of the conference was to look at the various forms of manifestation of the cliché as well as the roles played by the cliché in discourse and text, while attending to the relations of the commonplace with banality and violence. As such, it was a logical follow up on our previous reflexion on cultural, historical and textual breaking points ("Usure et rupture"). 517 $aFonctions du Cliché 517 $aFonctions du Cliché 517 $aFonctions du Cliché  606 $aHumanities, Multidisciplinary 606 $aLiterature (General) 606 $acliché 606 $astylistique 606 $astéréotype 606 $apsychologie 606 $alittérature de langue anglaise 610 $astylistique 610 $acliché 610 $apsychologie 610 $alittérature de langue anglaise 610 $astéréotype 615 4$aHumanities, Multidisciplinary 615 4$aLiterature (General) 615 4$acliché 615 4$astylistique 615 4$astéréotype 615 4$apsychologie 615 4$alittérature de langue anglaise 700 $aAji$b Hélène$01275945 701 $aAmossy$b Ruth$0457601 701 $aBeer$b Gillian$0131285 701 $aBowlby$b Rachel$0166107 701 $aDaniel$b Dominique$01298015 701 $aDesblaches$b Claudia$01291450 701 $aEtcheverry$b Michel$01329913 701 $aFabre$b Claire$01291200 701 $aFrau-Meigs$b Divina$01132637 701 $aHennard-Dutheil$b Martine$01329914 701 $aKershner$b Sybille$01329915 701 $aMarzola$b Alessandra$0166894 701 $aNet$b Mariana$01329916 701 $aPorteous$b Véronique$01329917 701 $aPoulain$b Pascale$01285575 701 $aRaynaud$b Claudine$01285411 701 $aSturgess$b Charlotte$01328458 701 $aTrotignon$b Béatrice$01299323 701 $aVernon$b Peter$01285415 701 $aRaynaud$b Claudine$01285411 701 $aVernon$b Peter$01285415 801 0$bFR-FrMaCLE 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910214919303321 996 $aFonctions du Cliché : du Banal à la Violence$93039651 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01673oam 2200457Ia 450 001 9910697925703321 005 20120710121017.0 035 $a(CKB)5470000002393738 035 $a(OCoLC)298259015 035 $a(EXLCZ)995470000002393738 100 $a20090113d2008 uy 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurmn||||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 00$aFinal report$b[electronic resource] $eIEA Wind Annex XX : HAWT aerodynamics and models from wind tunnel measurements 210 1$aGolden, Colo :$cNational Renewable Energy Laboratory,$d2008. 215 $a1 online resource (v, 85 pages) $cillustrations 225 1 $aNREL/TP ;$v500-43508 300 $aTitle from title screen (viewed January 13, 2009). 300 $a"December 2008." 300 $a"The IEA Wind agreement, also known as the Implementing Agreement for Co-operation in the Research, Development, and Deployment of Wind Energy Systems, functions within a framework created by the International Energy Agency (IEA)." 320 $aIncludes bibliographical references (page 82 ). 517 $aFinal report 606 $aWind turbines$xResearch 606 $aAerodynamic load$xMeasurement 606 $aWind power 615 0$aWind turbines$xResearch. 615 0$aAerodynamic load$xMeasurement. 615 0$aWind power. 701 $aSchreck$b Scott$01388039 712 02$aIEA Wind. 712 02$aNational Renewable Energy Laboratory (U.S.) 801 0$bSOE 801 1$bSOE 801 2$bGPO 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910697925703321 996 $aFinal report$93464738 997 $aUNINA
