Detailed readings are dedicated to some of the most prominent plays by Lope de Vega and Calderón de la Barca, both autos sacramentales (El viaje del alma; El divino Orfeo; La lepra de Constantino) and comedias (El castigo sin venganza, El príncipe constante, El médico de su honra). The "archeological" perspective cast on the plays implies an integration of their discourse-historical "foils", from pagan antiquity through the Middle Ages and the Renaissance, as well as a discussion of related discourses, mainly theological, philosophical and historiographical. A separate "excursus" suggests a reconsideration of the common manner in which the discursive relation between the Middle Ages, the Renaissance, Mannerism and the Baroque is conceptualized. 606 $aBarockliteratur 606 $aBaroque Literature 606 $aCalderón 606 $aDrama 606 $aFrühe Neuzeit 606 $aLope de Vega 606 $aSiglo de Oro 606 $aSpanish Golden Age 606 $aTheater 606 $aBarock$3(DE-601)106385380$3(DE-588)4004541-9$2gnd 606 $aLITERARY CRITICISM / Drama$2bisacsh 610 $aBaroque Literature. 610 $aCalderón. 610 $aDrama. 610 $aLope de Vega. 610 $aSpanish Golden Age. 615 4$aBarockliteratur. 615 4$aBaroque Literature. 615 4$aCalderón. 615 4$aDrama. 615 4$aFrühe Neuzeit. 615 4$aLope de Vega. 615 4$aSiglo de Oro. 615 4$aSpanish Golden Age. 615 4$aTheater. 615 7$aBarock. 615 7$aLITERARY CRITICISM / Drama. 700 $aKu?pper$b Joachim 801 0$bDE-B1597 801 1$bDE-B1597 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910261133503321 996 $aDiscursive "Renovatio" in Lope de Vega and Calderón$92238957 997 $aUNINA
