This book explores the genesis, in the ancient sources for Ennius' epic and in modern scholarship, of the accounts of the Annales with which we operate today. A series of appendices detail each source's contribution to our record of the poem, and are used to consider how the interests and working methods of the principal sources shape the modern view of the poem and to re-examine the limits imposed and the possibilities offered by this ancient evidence. Dr Elliott challenges standard views of the poem, such as its use of time and the disposition of the gods within it. She argues that the manifest impact of the Annales on the collective Roman psyche results from its innovative promotion of a vision of Rome as the primary focus of the cosmos in all its aspects. 517 3 $aEnnius & the Architecture of the Annales 606 $aHistorical poetry, Latin$xHistory and criticism 607 $aRome$xIn literature 615 0$aHistorical poetry, Latin$xHistory and criticism. 676 $a871/.0109 700 $aElliott$b Jackie$f1973-$01051556 801 0$bUkCbUP 801 1$bUkCbUP 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910462904403321 996 $aEnnius and the architecture of the Annales$92482146 997 $aUNINA LEADER 04470nam 22006855 450 001 9910731482603321 005 20251009080425.0 010 $a9783031206757 010 $a3031206754 024 7 $a10.1007/978-3-031-20675-7 035 $a(MiAaPQ)EBC30602001 035 $a(Au-PeEL)EBL30602001 035 $a(DE-He213)978-3-031-20675-7 035 $a(PPN)272267252 035 $a(CKB)27060370500041 035 $a(OCoLC)1383661785 035 $a(EXLCZ)9927060370500041 100 $a20230616d2023 u| 0 101 0 $aeng 135 $aurcnu|||||||| 181 $ctxt$2rdacontent 182 $cc$2rdamedia 183 $acr$2rdacarrier 200 10$aSpace Fostering Latin American Societies $eDeveloping the Latin American Continent Through Space, Part 4 /$fedited by Annette Froehlich 205 $a1st ed. 2023. 210 1$aCham :$cSpringer Nature Switzerland :$cImprint: Springer,$d2023. 215 $a1 online resource (198 pages) 225 1 $aSouthern Space Studies,$x2523-3726 311 08$aPrint version: Froehlich, Annette Space Fostering Latin American Societies Cham : Springer,c2023 9783031206740 327 $aSpace as a Tool for Development in Brazil: A Law and Development Perspective -- Honduras in Space So Far: A Central American Approach -- Democracy Through Connectivity: How Satellite Telecommunication Can Bridge the Digital Divide in Latin America -- Social Sustainability: A Challenge for the Supply Chain of the Mexican Space Sector -- Bolivian CanSat Contest: Promoting Space Science and Technology -- Dynamic Computational Analysis of a Cubesat Structure to Test a New Material for a Space-Radiation Protection Shield -- Lessons Learned on the Thermal Analysis of a Cubesat Using the Finite Element Method -- K?oto Project a Cubesat Design: Methodology and Development. . 330 $aThis peer-reviewed book presents a comprehensive overview of the role space is playing in enabling Latin America to fulfil its developmental aspirations. Following on from the highly acclaimed Parts 1 to 3, it explains how space and its applications can be used to support the development of the full range and diversity of Latin America societies, while being driven by Latin American goals. The Latin American space sector is currently undergoing a phase of rapid and dynamic expansion, with new actors entering the field and with space applications increasingly being used to support the continent?s social, economic, and political development. All across Latin America, attention is shifting to space as a fundamental part of the continental development agenda, and the creation of a Latin American space agency is evidence of this. Additionally, while in recent years, significant advances in economic and social development have lifted many of Latin America?s people out of poverty, there isstill much that needs to be done to fulfil the basic needs of the population and to afford them the dignity they deserve. To this end, space is already being employed in diverse fields of human endeavour to serve Latin America?s goals for its future, but there is still a need for further incorporation of space systems and data. This book will appeal to researchers, professionals and students in fields such as space studies, international relations, governance, and social and rural development. 410 0$aSouthern Space Studies,$x2523-3726 606 $aLaw of the sea 606 $aInternational law 606 $aAeronautics$xLaw and legislation 606 $aOuter space$xExploration 606 $aAstronautics 606 $aLatin America$xEconomic conditions 606 $aLaw of the Sea, Air and Outer Space 606 $aSpace Exploration and Astronautics 606 $aLatin American/Caribbean Economics 615 0$aLaw of the sea. 615 0$aInternational law. 615 0$aAeronautics$xLaw and legislation. 615 0$aOuter space$xExploration. 615 0$aAstronautics. 615 0$aLatin America$xEconomic conditions. 615 14$aLaw of the Sea, Air and Outer Space. 615 24$aSpace Exploration and Astronautics. 615 24$aLatin American/Caribbean Economics. 676 $a341.4 676 $a629.4098 700 $aFroehlich$b Annette$0846439 801 0$bMiAaPQ 801 1$bMiAaPQ 801 2$bMiAaPQ 906 $aBOOK 912 $a9910731482603321 996 $aSpace Fostering Latin American Societies$93394916 997 $aUNINA LEADER 01077cam0 22003011 450 001 SOBE00079630 005 20251202132427.0 010 $a9788859300670 100 $a20240328d2021 |||||ita|0103 ba 101 $aita 102 $aIT 200 1 $aMedia digitali$ela storia, i contesti sociali, le narrazioni$fGabriele Balbi, Paolo Magaudda 210 $aBari$cLaterza$d2021 215 $aXIV, 248 p.$d24 cm 225 2 $aManuali di base$v74 410 1$1001LAEC00018829$12001 $a*Manuali di base$v74 500 10$aMedia digitali$3SOBA00030659$92920238 700 1$aBalbi$b, Gabriele <1979->$3SOBA00027322$4070$0747107 701 1$aMagaudda, Paolo$3SOBA00030658$4070$0520330 801 0$aIT$bUNISOB$c20251202$gRICA 850 $aUNISOB 852 $aUNISOB$j300$m181328 912 $aSOBE00079630 940 $aM 102 Monografia moderna SBN 941 $aM 957 $a300$b005074$gBRE$d181328$n20240328$_15$rAcquisto$tV$[15$1Spinosa$2UNISOB$3UNISOB$420240328082648.0$520251202132427.0$6Spinosa$fTesto 2025/2026 996 $aMedia digitali$92920238 997 $aUNISOB
