It is well documented that education and economic security are inextricably linked and that early learning and early reading are undisputed contributors to a successful education. This book presents both the challenges and opportunities that exist for addressing the critical needs of black children, who have been historically underserved in the U.S. education system. This book explores the language, cognitive, social-emotional, and health development of black children from birth to age 8. The chapters approach this in three ways; first, they tackle why it is problematic to only characterize Black children's accomplishment in terms of academic achievement. Second, they discuss the importance of the home-school environment connection. Lastly, they discuss the changes that need to be in teacher preparation in order to ensure that the workforce can practice racial equity in the classroom. These issues are woven together by a call to close the education opportunity gap via "equity adjustments" that can target educational and health disparities facing the black community.Advances in race and ethnicity in education ;v. 5.African AmericansEducation (Early childhood)Early childhood educationUnited StatesEducational equalizationUnited StatesAfrican AmericansEducation (Early childhood)Early childhood educationEducational equalization370.89Iruka Iheoma U.Curenton Stephanie M.Durden Tonia R.MiFhGGMiFhGGBOOK9910792968703321African American children in early childhood education3848478UNINA01796nam0 22003853i 450 CFI019106320251003044131.0881502788219920510d1990 ||||0itac50 baitaitz01i xxxe z01nz01ncRDAcarrierEconomia del risparmio e della ricchezzacomportamenti privati e indebitamento pubblicoOnorato Castellino, Elsa ForneroBolognaIl mulino[1990]262 p.22 cmˆIl ‰mulino Ricerca001CFI01659272001 ˆIl ‰mulino RicercaRisparmioFIRCFIC006393EDebito pubblicoFIRMILC036747E332ECONOMIA FINANZIARIA12332ECONOMIA FINANZIARIA23332.0415FORMAZIONE E RISPARMIO DEL CAPITALE20Castellino, Onorato <1935-2007>CFIV00383107028860Fornero, ElsaCFIV106083070117970ITIT-00000019920510IT-BN0095 IT-NA0452 NAP ISISFSE Sezione di materie economiche e sociali dell' ex Istituto sulle strutture finanziarie e lo sviluppo economicoNAP 01POZZO LIB.Vi sono collocati fondi di economia, periodici di ingegneria e scienze, periodici di economia e statistica e altri fondi comprendenti documenti di economia pervenuti in dono.
