The 25 papers included in the STP have been extended and revised by the authors. The conference was held in Lisbon, Portugal, on 25-28 June 2001, and was chaired by Manual De Freitas, Instituto Superior Tecnico, Lisbon. The meeting, organised by the Instituto Superior Tecnico and sponsored by the Portuguese Minesterio da Cienca e da Tecnologia and by the European Structural Integrity Society, was attended by 151 delegates from 20 countries. The papers in the present book deal with the theoretical, numerical and experimental aspects of the Multiaxial fatigue and fracture of engineering materials and structures. They are divided in to the following six sections; Multiaxial Fatigue of Welded Structures; High cycle Multiaxial fatigue; Non proportional and Variable-Amplitude loading; Defects, Notches, Crack Growth; Low Cycle Multiaxial Fatigue; Applications and Testing Methods. As is well-known, most engineering components and structures in the mechanical, aerospace, power generation, and other industries are subjected to multiaxial loading during their service life. One of the most difficult tasks in design against fatigue and fracture is to translate the information gathered from uniaxial fatigue and fracture tests on engineering materials into applications involving complex states of cyclic stress-strain conditions. This book is the result of co-operation between many researchers from different laboratories, universities and industries in a number of countriesElectronic reproduction.Amsterdam :Elsevier Science & Technology,2007.Mode of access: World Wide Web.System requirements: Web browser.Title from title screen (viewed on Aug. 2, 2007).Access may be restricted to users at subscribing institutionsMaterialsFatigueCongressesElectronic books.localCarpinteri, AndreaFreitas, Manuel deSpagnoli, AndreaEuropean Structural Integrity SocietyOriginal00804412979780080441290(DLC) 2003274752(OCoLC)52324799Referexhttp://www.sciencedirect.com/science/book/9780080441290An electronic book accessible through the World Wide Web; click for information.b1365080403-03-2224-01-08991003221259707536Biaxial1213519UNISALENTOle02624-01-08m@ -engenk0000816nam0-22002891i-450 99000258989040332120240422095553.0FED01000258989(Aleph)000258989FED0100025898920000920d1969----km-y0itay50------baengGBModern published accountsdi SAMBRIDGE e WALDRONSecond editionLondraMacDonald & Evans1969vii, 157 p.25 cmSambridge,Ernest Harold William105291Waldron,Robert S.ITUNINARICAUNIMARCBK990002589890403321C3-P25-19a-RAn.i.ECAC3-P25-19b-RAn.i.ECAECAModern published accounts435215UNINA04874nam 2201117Ia 450 991096411220332120200520144314.097866107177679781552501535155250153197812807177651280717769(CKB)1000000000226022(OCoLC)144080925(CaPaEBR)ebrary10079849(SSID)ssj0000673704(PQKBManifestationID)11403465(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000673704(PQKBWorkID)10645164(PQKB)10522207(CaPaEBR)405837(Au-PeEL)EBL267006(CaPaEBR)ebr10141234(CaONFJC)MIL71776(OCoLC)437171230(VaAlCD)20.500.12592/99f8sb(schport)gibson_crkn/2009-12-01/3/405837(CaOOCEL)200405(MiAaPQ)EBC267006(MiAaPQ)EBC3244964(CaBNVSL)jme00324695(OCoLC)740945010(VaAlCD)20.500.12592/9sjfgr(EXLCZ)991000000000226022200405CaOOCEL(Public Documents)20050803d2004 uy 0engurcn|||||||||txtccrLand & development in Latin America openings for policy research /Stephen Baranyi, Carmen Diana Deere, Manuel MoralesOttawa, Ont. What are the real openings and constraints with regard to such policies at the local, national, and international levels? What role is research playing, and what role might it play, in tracking efforts and revealing policy options? This book suggests that Latin America may not be poised for a radical shift in land policy and administration, and that it is home to some worrisome trends and a rich array of initiatives on land issues. Researchers have a crucial role to play in illuminating policy alternatives and monitoring outcomes.Land and development in Latin AmericaLand reformLatin AmericaLand reformGovernment policyLatin AmericaLand tenureLatin AmericaLand tenureGovernment policyLatin AmericaAgricultureIptcncBoliviaIptcncColombiaIptcncDepartment for international developmentIptcncEconomic inequalityIptcncEconomyIptcncEl salvadorIptcncFood securityIptcncFood sovereigntyIptcncGovernanceIptcncLatin AmericaEconomic conditions1982-Land reformLand reformGovernment policyLand tenureLand tenureGovernment policyAgricultureBoliviaColombiaDepartment for international developmentEconomic inequalityEconomyEl salvadorFood securityFood sovereigntyGovernance333/.0098Baranyi Stephen1962-1108188Deere Carmen Diana949011Morales Manuel1816448International Development Research Centre (Canada)North-South Institute (Ottawa, Ont.)MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910964112203321Land & development in Latin America4372527UNINA00964nam a2200253 i 450099100438213040753620250520090740.0250520s1977 gw er 001 0 ger dBibl. Environmentalism, information technology, and medical advances testify to technology's crucial importance. In his lucid and engaging style, Feenberg shows that technology is the medium of daily life. Every major technical changes reverberates at countless levels: economic, political, and cultural.
