Forex Returns and VDAX AR(2)-GARCH(1,1) Models, 2003Q3-0; ReferencesDuring 2001-07, increases in mature market volatility were associated with declines in forex returns for East Asian countries, consistent with an overall "flight to safety" effect. Estimates from GARCH models suggest that a 5 percentage point increase in mature market equity volatility generated an exchange rate depreciation of up to ½ percent. This sensitivity rose during the latter period in the sample, suggesting greater integration of Asian financial markets with global markets. Unconditional standard deviations estimated from these models also provide operational measures of "long-term" and "excess" volatility in forex markets. Long-run forex volatility declined as Asian economies settled down with generally stronger fundamentals in the post-crisis period to more flexible regimes along with a generally lower level of mature market volatility.IMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;No. 2008/208Foreign exchange ratesEast AsiaFinancial crisesEast AsiaFinance: GeneralimfForeign ExchangeimfMoney and Monetary PolicyimfInternational Financial MarketsimfGeneral Financial Markets: General (includes Measurement and Data)imfMonetary SystemsimfStandardsimfRegimesimfGovernment and the Monetary SystemimfPayment SystemsimfCurrencyimfForeign exchangeimfFinanceimfMonetary economicsimfExchange ratesimfCurrency marketsimfStock marketsimfCurrenciesimfForeign exchange marketimfStock exchangesimfMoneyimfPhilippinesimfForeign exchange ratesFinancial crisesFinance: GeneralForeign ExchangeMoney and Monetary PolicyInternational Financial MarketsGeneral Financial Markets: General (includes Measurement and Data)Monetary SystemsStandardsRegimesGovernment and the Monetary SystemPayment SystemsCurrencyForeign exchangeFinanceMonetary economicsExchange ratesCurrency marketsStock marketsCurrenciesForeign exchange marketStock exchangesMoney332.456095Kalra Sanjay1493511DcWaIMFBOOK9910788346303321Global Volatility and Forex Returns in East Asia3716514UNINA04456nam 22007095 450 991086523740332120251116152956.09789819718481981971848110.1007/978-981-97-1848-1(CKB)32309698500041(MiAaPQ)EBC31498836(Au-PeEL)EBL31498836(DE-He213)978-981-97-1848-1(OCoLC)1442193983(EXLCZ)993230969850004120240612d2024 u| 0engur|||||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierLiving Well in a World Worth Living in for All Volume 2: Enacting Praxis for a Just and Sustainable Future /edited by Kristin Elaine Reimer, Mervi Kaukko, Sally Windsor, Stephen Kemmis, Kathleen Mahon1st ed. 2024.Singapore :Springer Nature Singapore :Imprint: Springer,2024.1 online resource (257 pages)9789819718474 9819718473 Introduction: Drawing the future into the present -- Whose well-being? The book asks what can be learnt to create change in policy and practice in order to enact praxis. It showcases chapters from international authors who discuss current or new projects to address the overarching questions explored in the book. It also provides an overview of perspectives that connect both volumes and the individual projects presented together through the lens of practice architectures.Educational sociologyEducation and stateEducationPhilosophySociology of EducationEducational Policy and PoliticsEducational PhilosophyEducacióthubCondicions socialsthubJustícia socialthubLlibres electrònicsthubEducational sociology.Education and state.EducationPhilosophy.Sociology of Education.Educational Policy and Politics.Educational Philosophy.Educació.Condicions socialsJustícia social306.43Reimer Kristin Elaine1337998Kaukko Mervi1337999Windsor Sally1338000Kemmis Stephen888041Mahon Kathleen1338001MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910865237403321Living Well in a World Worth Living in for All3057703UNINA
