The complexity of IDN authoring, often involving stories co-created by procedures and user interaction, creates confusion for tool developers and raises barriers for new authors. This book examines these issues from both the tool designer and the author’s perspective, discusses the poetics of IDN and how that can be used to design authoring tools, explores diverse forms of IDN and their demands, and investigates the challenges around conducting research on IDN authoring. To address these challenges, the chapter authors incorporate a range of interdisciplinary perspectives on ‘The Authoring Problem’ in IDN. While existing texts provide ‘how-to’ guidance for authors, this book is a primer for research and practice-based investigations into the authoring problem, collecting the latest thoughts about this area from key researchers and practitioners.Human–Computer Interaction Series,2524-4477Interactive multimediaDigital storytellingInteractive multimedia.Digital storytelling.025.174Hargood CharlieMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK996508668203316The authoring problem3363630UNISA03338nam 2200661 450 991082835630332120230914175204.090-04-18328-010.1163/9789004183285(CKB)2550000001170383(EBL)1582249(OCoLC)865650759(SSID)ssj0001080504(PQKBManifestationID)11667816(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001080504(PQKBWorkID)11069886(PQKB)10103373(MiAaPQ)EBC1582249(nllekb)BRILL9789004183285(Au-PeEL)EBL1582249(CaPaEBR)ebr10820825(CaONFJC)MIL552270(PPN)178914525(EXLCZ)99255000000117038320131230h20142014 uy 0engur|n|---|||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierThe genitive case in Dutch and German a study of morphosyntactic change in codified languages /Alan K. Scott offers an account of the tension that exists between morphosyntactic change and codification, focusing on the effect that codification has had on the genitive case and alternative constructions in both languages. On the basis of usage data from a wide variety of registers, from the 16th century to the present day, Alan K. Scott demonstrates that codification has preserved obsolescent morphological genitive constructions in Dutch and German while suppressing their potential replacements, and shows that, despite its association with norm-conformant language, the genitive is used to a surprisingly large extent in informal early modern Dutch and modern German sources.Brill's Studies in Historical Linguistics2.Dutch languageCaseGerman languageCaseDutch languageMorphosyntaxGerman languageMorphosyntaxDutch languageCase.German languageCase.Dutch languageMorphosyntax.German languageMorphosyntax.410.384Scott Alan(Alan K.)149743MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910828356303321The genitive case in Dutch and German3962323UNINA
