Joslyn Barnhart demonstrates that Germany's catastrophic reaction to humiliation at the end of World War I is part of a broader pattern: states that experience humiliating events are more likely to engage in international aggression aimed at restoring the state's image in its own eyes and in the eyes of others. Barnhart shows that these states also pursue conquest, intervene in the affairs of other states, engage in diplomatic hostility and verbal discord, and pursue advanced weaponry and other symbols of national resurgence at higher rates than non-humiliated states in similar foreign policy contexts.Cornell scholarship online.International relationsPsychological aspectsWorld politicsPsychological aspectsHumiliationPolitical aspectsAngerPolitical aspectsAggressivenessPolitical aspectsPublic opinionPolitical aspectshumiliation, anger, recognition, international relations, political psychology.International relationsPsychological aspects.World politicsPsychological aspects.HumiliationPolitical aspects.AngerPolitical aspects.AggressivenessPolitical aspects.Public opinionPolitical aspects.327.1019Barnhart Joslyn1218507StDuBDSStDuBDSBOOK996475758603316The consequences of humiliation2817878UNISA03675nam 2200733Ia 450 991083032560332120230721004735.01-119-20780-01-282-34943-097866123494300-470-74284-4(CKB)1000000000707603(EBL)416549(OCoLC)313861826(SSID)ssj0000260988(PQKBManifestationID)12044890(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000260988(PQKBWorkID)10255439(PQKB)10197265(MiAaPQ)EBC416549(EXLCZ)99100000000070760320081205d2009 uy 0engur|n|---|||||txtccrTrading regime analysis[electronic resource] the probability of volatility /Murray GunnChichester, England ;Hoboken, NJ Wileyc20091 online resource (442 p.)Wiley tradingDescription based upon print version of record.0-470-98785-5 Includes bibliographical references (p. The book describes that it is the human nature of markets which explains why this behaviour exists and whether one believes in fundamental or technical market analysis, the ebb and flow of volatility is the one undeniable truth that exists in financial and commodity markets. It is the up and down cycles of volatility that is the manifestation of human psychology as the ultimate driver of markets and volatility, like human behaviour, has a distinct cycle to it.Offers Wiley trading.StocksCapital marketInvestmentsAktienmarktanalyseCommodity exchangesInvestitionInvestmentsSpeculationSpekulationWirtschaftStock exchangesVolatilitätStocks.Capital market.Investments.332.095195332.6332.632042QK 650rvkGunn Murray1696404MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910830325603321Trading regime analysis4076362UNINA
