This approach has emerged as a reaction to the sophisticated model of traditional semantics. It was also strongly stimulated by the applications of denotational semantics and especially by its software-industry oriented version known as VDM (Vienna Development Method). The new approach was successfully tested on several examples. Based on this approach the Polish Academy of Sciences created the project MetaSoft aimed at the development of a definitional metalanguage for software engineering. The approach has also been chosen in the project RAISE (ESPRIT) which aims at a similar goal. The book consists of two parts. Part One is devoted to the mathematical foundations of the future definitional metalanguage of MetaSoft. This part also introduces an appropriate notation. Part Two shows the applications of this metalanguage. There the denotational definition of a subset of Pascal is discussed with particular emphasis on Pascal types.Lecture Notes in Computer Science,0302-9743 ;288Programming languages (Electronic computers)Software engineeringComputer logicProgramming Languages, Compilers, Interpretershttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I14037Software Engineeringhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I14029Logics and Meanings of Programshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I1603XProgramming languages (Electronic computers).Software engineering.Computer logic.Programming Languages, Compilers, Interpreters.Software Engineering.Logics and Meanings of Programs.005.13Blikle Andrzejauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut54543Barstow Dedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtBrauer Wedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtBrinch Hansen Pedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtGries Dedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtLuckham Dedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtMoler Cedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtPnueli Aedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtSeegmüller Gedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtStoer Jedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtWirth Nedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtBOOK996465809203316Metasoft Primer345225UNISA05241nam 2200985Ia 450 991078442010332120230721025858.00-520-94057-11-282-36020-597866123602061-4337-0840-X10.1525/9780520940574(CKB)1000000000354333(EBL)301110(OCoLC)476080501(SSID)ssj0000153523(PQKBManifestationID)11152428(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000153523(PQKBWorkID)10392217(PQKB)10522364(MiAaPQ)EBC301110(DE-B1597)519090(OCoLC)290548268(DE-B1597)9780520940574(Au-PeEL)EBL301110(CaPaEBR)ebr10178202(CaONFJC)MIL236020(EXLCZ)99100000000035433320061221d2007 uy 0engurun#---|u||utxtccrThe farmworkers' journey[electronic resource] /Ann Aurelia LópezBerkeley University of California Press20071 online resource (363 p.)Description based upon print version of record.0-520-25072-9 0-520-25073-7 Includes bibliographical references and index.Front matter --Contents --Illustrations --Preface --Acknowledgments --1. Over the course of ten years, Ann Aurelia López conducted a series of intimate interviews with farmworkers and their families along the migrant circuit. She deftly weaves their voices together with up-to-date research to portray a world hidden from most Americans-a world of inescapable poverty that has worsened considerably since NAFTA was implemented in 1994. In fact, today it has become nearly impossible for rural communities in Mexico to continue to farm the land sustainably, leaving few survival options except the perilous border crossing to the United States. The Farmworkers' Journey brings together for the first time the many facets of this issue into a comprehensive and accessible narrative: how corporate agribusiness operates, how binational institutions and laws promote the subjugation of Mexican farmworkers, how migration affects family life, how genetically modified corn strains pouring into Mexico from the United States are affecting farmers, how migrants face exploitation from employers, and more. A must-read for all Americans, The Farmworkers' Journey traces the human consequences of our policy decisions.Migrant agricultural laborersCaliforniaMigrant agricultural laborersMexico21st century american immigration.21st century american politics.agricultural economy.american history.american immigration.border crossing.california.corporate agribusiness.democracy.economic globalization.economics.family.farm work.farmers and farming.farms and farmers.historical farming practices.human condition.immigration and emigration.mexican american border.mexico.migrant workers.migration.nafta.political debate.politics.poverty.rural.transnational corporations.united states of america.Migrant agricultural laborersMigrant agricultural laborers331.5/4408968720794López Ann Aurelia1945-1479212MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910784420103321The farmworkers' journey3695221UNINA
