The 15 regular papers and one poster presentation paper presented together with 2 invited talks were carefully reviewed and selected from numerous submissions. The papers cover a wide range of topics from classical performance modeling areas such as wireless network protocols and parallel execution of scientific codes to hot topics such as energy-aware computing to unexpected ventures into ranking professional tennis players. In addition to new case studies, the papers also present new techniques for dealing with the modeling challenges brought about by the increasing complexity and scale of systems today.Programming and Software Engineering ;7587Computer system failuresSoftware engineeringComputer communication systemsComputer simulationEnergy policyEnergy and stateSystem Performance and Evaluationhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I13049Software Engineeringhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I14029Computer Communication Networkshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I13022Simulation and Modelinghttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I19000Energy Policy, Economics and Managementhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/112000Conference proceedings.fastComputer system failures.Software engineering.Computer communication systems.Computer simulation.Energy policy.Energy and state.System Performance and Evaluation.Software Engineering.Computer Communication Networks.Simulation and Modeling.Energy Policy, Economics and Management.004.2/4Tribastone Mircoedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtGilmore Stephenedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtEPEW 2012MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK996465674803316Computer Performance Engineering774014UNISA03650nam 2200517I 450 991079337230332120230120081251.00-429-44870-80-429-82850-00-429-82849-7(CKB)4100000007102129(OCoLC)1059513660(FlBoTFG)9780429448706(MiAaPQ)EBC5583196(EXLCZ)99410000000710212920190122h20182000 uy 0engur||| |||||rdacontentrdamediardacarrierEquality Issues for the New Millennium /edited by Sneh ShahFirst edition.Boca Raton, FL :Routledge,[2018].©2000.1 online resource (179 pages)Routledge Revivals1-138-32835-9 Includes bibliographical references and index.1. Sneh Shah.First published in 2000, this volume is taking stock of equality issues in higher education as we move into the new millennium. It is clear that many positive developments in the 1970s and 1980s have been lost. However, the way forward is not just to reinstate these developments. This book focuses on a number of challenges, including bringing equality issues from the periphery to the centre of education, seeking an overarching framework such as human rights to ensure that equality is interpreted in a more comprehensive and systematic way, including every individual in the deliberations about equality, and accepting that an acknowledgement of the 'needs' of specific groups of students has to be paralleled with educating everyone about their responsibilities in relation to the causes and consequences of inequality. Fifteen educationalists, from a number of higher education institutions, have analyzed their particular area of work in equality, providing the clear message that in the new millennium equality must become truly embedded in real education.Routledge Revivals.Discrimination in higher educationEducational equalizationMinoritiesEducation (Higher)Discrimination in higher education.Educational equalization.MinoritiesEducation (Higher)379.260941Shah SnehFlBoTFGFlBoTFGBOOK9910793372303321Equality Issues for the New Millennium3840968UNINA
