A Jamaican-born author of poetry, short stories, novels, and nonfiction, McKay has often been associated with the "New Negro" or Harlem Renaissance, a movement of African American art, culture, and intellectualism between World War I and the Great Depression. But his relationship to the movement was complex. Literally absent from Harlem during that period, he devoted most of his time to traveling through Europe, Russia, and Africa during the 1920's and 1930's.MELA (Multi-ethnic Literatures of the Americas)McKay, ClaudeAuthors, AmericanIntellectual life20th centuryBiographyAuthors, Jamaican20th centuryBiographyJamaican AmericansBiographyAfrican American authorsBiographyJamaican AmericansElectronic books.McKay, Claude.Authors, AmericanIntellectual lifeAuthors, JamaicanJamaican AmericansAfrican American authorsJamaican Americans813.52818/.5209 BMcKay Claude1890-19481000104Jarrett Gene Andrew1038867AU-PeELAU-PeELAU-PeELBOOK9910452158703321A Long Way from Home2460713UNINA05162nam 22007455 450 99646540830331620200704163036.03-540-75939-510.1007/978-3-540-75939-3(CKB)1000000000490290(SSID)ssj0000316131(PQKBManifestationID)11228672(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000316131(PQKBWorkID)10262720(PQKB)11102898(DE-He213)978-3-540-75939-3(MiAaPQ)EBC6281351(MiAaPQ)EBC4975746(Au-PeEL)EBL4975746(CaONFJC)MIL135476(OCoLC)1024262956(PPN)123728789(EXLCZ)99100000000049029020100301d2007 u| 0engurnn|008mamaatxtccrAlgebraic and Proof-theoretic Aspects of Non-classical Logics[electronic resource] Papers in Honor of Daniele Mundici on the Occasion of His 60th Birthday /edited by S. The 17 revised papers of this Festschrift volume - published in honour of Daniele Mundici on the occasion of his 60th birthday - include invited extended versions of the most interesting contributions to the International Conference on the Algebraic and Logical Foundations of Many-Valued Reasoning, held in Gargnano, Italy, in March 2006. Daniele Mundici is widely acknowledged as a leading scientist in many-valued logic and ordered algebraic structures. In the last decades, his work has unveiled profound connections between logic and such diverse fields of research as functional analysis, probability and measure theory, the geometry of toric varieties, piecewise linear geometry, and error-correcting codes. Several prominent logicians, mathematicians, and computer scientists attending the conference have contributed to this wide-ranging collection with papers all variously related to Daniele's work.Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence ;4460Artificial intelligenceMathematical logicNatural language processing (Computer science)Artificial Intelligencehttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I21000Mathematical Logic and Formal Languageshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I16048Natural Language Processing (NLP)https://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/I21040Artificial intelligence.Mathematical logic.Natural language processing (Computer science).Artificial Intelligence.Mathematical Logic and Formal Languages.Natural Language Processing (NLP).511.31Aguzzoli Sedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtCiabattoni Aedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtGerla Bedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtManara Cedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtMarra Vedthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/edtMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK996465408303316Algebraic and Proof-theoretic Aspects of Non-classical Logics771862UNISA
