The Global Circulations of Latin American Literatures /Gesine MüllerBerlin ;Boston : De Gruyter, [2021]©20221 online resource (VIII, 174 p.)Description based upon print version of record.3-11-074837-1 Frontmatter -- Acknowledgments -- Contents -- I Introduction -- II World Literature from the Spanish-Speaking Americas -- III Concepts of World Literature within Publishing Practices -- IV The Circulation Processes of Latin American Literatures -- V Epilogue: (Not) a Summary. The Material and its Resistance -- BibliographyThe debate over the concept of world literature, which has been taking place with renewed intensity over the last twenty years, is tightly bound up with the issues of global interconnectedness in a polycentric world. Most recently, critiques of globalization-related conceptualizations, in particular, have made themselves heard: to what extent is the concept of world literature too closely connected with the political and economic dynamics of globalization? Such questions cannot be answered simply through theoretical debate. The material side of the production of world literature must therefore be more strongly integrated into the conversation than it has been. Using the example of Latin American literatures, this volume demonstrates the concrete construction processes of world literature. To that purpose, archival materials have been analyzed here: notes, travel reports, and correspondence between publishers and authors. The Latin American examples provide particularly rich information about the processes of institutionalization in the Western world, as well as new perspectives for a contemporary mapping of world literature beyond the established dynamics of canonization.LITERARY CRITICISM / Caribbean & Latin AmericanbisacshCriticism, interpretation, etc.fastBook Markets.Latin American Literature.Reception Studies.World Literature.LITERARY CRITICISM / Caribbean & Latin American.860.998Müller Gesine, authttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut851355DE-B1597DE-B1597BOOK996449435303316How Is World Literature Made2838813UNISA04101nam 22006615 450 991099277700332120250327122755.09789819796090981979609110.1007/978-981-97-9609-0(MiAaPQ)EBC31979195(Au-PeEL)EBL31979195(CKB)38121132000041(DE-He213)978-981-97-9609-0(OCoLC)1512818277(EXLCZ)993812113200004120250327d2024 u| 0engurcnu||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierPhysics of Nuclear Energy Foundations Towards Fusion Energy /by Francesco Romanelli1st ed. 2024.Singapore :Springer Nature Singapore :Imprint: Springer,2024.1 online resource (527 pages)Springer Series in Plasma Science and Technology,2511-20159789819796083 9819796083 1. The nuclear challenges of a fusion power plant -- Glossary -- Appendix. This textbook provides a comprehensive exploration of nuclear energy physics, focusing on the fundamentals of both nuclear physics and fusion energy production. The book includes the basics of quantum mechanics with applications to radioactive decay, nuclear reactions, and radiation penetration, as well as principles of magnetic confinement fusion. Chapters cover the topics of statistical descriptions of many-body systems, cross-sections, electromagnetism, and special relativity. The author looks into nuclear reactions, fission reactors, plasma dynamics, the power balance in fusion reactors, magnetic field production, and engineering constraints. Additionally, he addresses edge plasma dynamics and the nuclear related challenges of fusion such as tritium breeding, and neutron-resistant material development. The book is an essential resource for graduate students in engineering and researchers in nuclear energy. It provides a solid foundation in both theoretical and practical aspects of nuclear fusion, enabling readers to design fusion reactors and address the engineering challenges associated with them. Whether readers are scholars or practitioners in industrial engineering or related fields, this book provides valuable insights for advancing their understanding of nuclear energy.Springer Series in Plasma Science and Technology,2511-2015Nuclear fusionPlasma (Ionized gases)Nuclear engineeringPlasma confinementNuclear FusionPlasma PhysicsNuclear EnergyMagnetic and inertial plasma confinementNuclear fusion.Plasma (Ionized gases)Nuclear engineering.Plasma confinement.Nuclear Fusion.Plasma Physics.Nuclear Energy.Magnetic and inertial plasma confinement.530.44539.764Romanelli Francesco32247MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910992777003321Physics of Nuclear Energy4349881UNINA
