The subjects covered include: depression, anorexia, schizoid personality, narcissistic personality disorder, mania, psychosis, paranoia, masochism, fetishism, transvestisism, perversion, marital dysfunction, survivor syndrome, and old age.The contributors, who include some of the most creative and distinguished clinicians in the Jungian world today, are: Gustav Dreifuss, Alan Edwards, Michael Fordham, C.T. Frey-Wehrlin, Rosemary Gordon, Judith Hubback, Peer Hultberg, Mario Jacoby, Thomas Kirsch, Rushi Ledermann, Fred Plaut, Joseph Redfearn, Nathan Schwartz-Salant, Eva Seligman, Anthony Storr, Mary Williams and Luigi Zoja. The book is intended to appeal beyond the Jungian community, and the editor's introductory remarks which precede each paper highlight (and where necessary explain) concepts and attitudes which seem special to analytical psychology. In this way, psychoanalytically and eclectically orientated practitioners can make full use of this book."--Provided by publisher.Library of analytical psychology ;v. 9.Mental illnessPsychiatryPhilosophyElectronic books.Mental illness.PsychiatryPhilosophy.616.89616.8907Samuels AndrewFlBoTFGFlBoTFGBOOK9910461323903321Psychopathology2049640UNINA04002nam 22005295 450 99643544600331620231110224627.01-5015-1156-410.1515/9781501511561(CKB)5590000000537099(DE-B1597)503116(DE-B1597)9781501511561EBL7014941(AU-PeEL)EBL7014941(MiAaPQ)EBC7014941(EXLCZ)99559000000053709920210729h20212021 fg engur||#||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierLanguage Activism Imaginaries and Strategies of Minority Language Equality /Haley De KorneBerlin ;Boston :De Gruyter Mouton,[2021]©20211 online resource (XVI, 243 p.)Contributions to the Sociology of Language [CSL] ;114Description based upon print version of record.1-5015-1740-6 Frontmatter --Acknowledgements --Contents --List of Figures --List of Tables --Chapter 1 Advocating for linguistic equality --Chapter 2 The moving target of activism: Changing language ecologies in the Isthmus of Tehuantepec --Chapter 3 Creating knowledge and resources: Strategies in scholarship --Chapter 4 Connecting community and school spaces: Strategies in primary and secondary education --Chapter 5 Representing legitimate languages and identities: Strategies in higher education --Chapter 6 Imagining convivial multilingual literacies: Strategies in community-based education --Chapter 7 Imagining future traditions: Strategies in popular culture spaces --Chapter 8 Developing a repertoire of activism strategies --Appendix A: Language activism strategy framework --Appendix B: Transcription conventions --Appendix C: Glossary of common abbreviations, Diidxazá, and Spanish terms --References --IndexWhile top-down policies and declarations have yet to establish equal status and opportunities for speakers of all languages in practice, activists and advocates at local levels are playing an increasingly significant role in the creation of new social imaginaries and practices in multilingual contexts. This volume describes how social actors across multiple domains contribute to the elusive goal of linguistic equality or justice through their language activism practices. Through an ethnographic account of Indigenous Isthmus Zapotec language activism in Oaxaca, Mexico, this study illuminates the (sometimes conflicting) imaginaries of what positive social change is and how it should be achieved, and the repertoire of strategies through which these imaginaries are being pursued. Ethnographic and action research conducted from 2013-2018 in the multilingual Isthmus of Tehuantepec brings to light the experiences of educators, students, writers, scholars and diverse cultural activists whose aspirations and strategies of social change are significant in shaping the future language ecology. Their repertoire of strategies may inform and encourage language activists, scholars, and educators working for change in other contexts of linguistic diversity and inequality.Contributions to the Sociology of Language [CSL] LANGUAGE ARTS & DISCIPLINES / Linguistics / GeneralbisacshIsthmus Zapotec.Linguistic (In)equality.Minority/Indigenous Languages.Oaxaca, Mexico.LANGUAGE ARTS & DISCIPLINES / Linguistics / General.305.7De Korne Haleyauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut1223445The Research Council of Norwayfndhttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/fndDE-B1597DE-B1597BOOK996435446003316Language Activism2838220UNISA
