Kent, translatorCambridge, MA :Harvard University Press,1938.1 online resource (432 pages)Loeb classical library ;LCL333Of more than seventy works by Varro (116-27 BCE) we have only his treatise On Agriculture and part of his On the Latin Language, a work typical of its author's interest not only in antiquarian matters but also in the collection of scientific facts, and containing much of very great value to the study of the Latin language. Varro (M. Terentius), 116-27 BCE, of Reate, renowned for his vast learning, was an antiquarian, historian, philologist, student of science, agriculturist, and poet. He was a republican who was reconciled to Julius Caesar and was marked out by him to supervise an intended national library. Of Varro's more than seventy works involving hundreds of volumes we have only his treatise On Agriculture (in Loeb number 283) and part of his monumental achievement De Lingua Latina, On the Latin Language, a work typical of its author's interest not only in antiquarian matters but also in the collection of scientific facts. Originally it consisted of twenty-five books in three parts: etymology of Latin words (books 1-7); their inflexions and other changes (books 8-13); and syntax (books 14-25). Of the whole work survive (somewhat imperfectly) books 5 to 10. These are from the section (books 4-6) which applied etymology to words of time and place and to poetic expressions; the section (books 7-9) on analogy as it occurs in word formation; and the section (books 10-12) which applied analogy to word derivation. Varro's work contains much that is of very great value to the study of the Latin language. The Loeb Classical Library edition of On the Latin Language is in two volumes.Loeb classical library ;LCL333.Latin languageGrammarLatin languageReadersLatin languageGrammar.Latin languageReaders.478.2421Varro Marcus Terentius71700Kent Roland G(Roland Grubb),1877-1952,NjHacINjHaclBOOK996208472803316De lingua latina20091UNISA06365nam 22006615 450 991084739300332120250807130512.09783658429485365842948810.1007/978-3-658-42948-5(CKB)31435449100041(MiAaPQ)EBC31281907(Au-PeEL)EBL31281907(OCoLC)1430661255(DE-He213)978-3-658-42948-5(EXLCZ)993143544910004120240404d2024 u| 0engur|||||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierCreating the University of the Future A Global View on Future Skills and Future Higher Education /edited by Ulf-Daniel Ehlers, Laura Eigbrecht1st ed. 2024.Wiesbaden :Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden :Imprint: Springer VS,2024.1 online resource (634 pages)Zukunft der Hochschulbildung - Future Higher Education,2662-57769783658429478 365842947X 1. Recognizing that women managers are facing barriers in achieving top level of management positions in industries, it adopts unique methodology of involving men and women managers as respondents to understand the key issues of gender diversity, glass ceiling, glass walls, glass cliffs, and gender inequality in the Indian corporate scenario. The book, via its six chapters, explores these key issues through the lens of feminist theories under four dimensions – personal, work, organisational and social – and contains an extensive literature review to understand the root causes of these issues. Secondly, it discusses a pilot study conducted to understand the perspectives about career growth of women managers. Outcome of this pilot study works towards conceptualising factors under four dimensions, mentioned above, influencing women participation in management, and to develop survey tools for further quantitative study. Thirdly, for the empirical analysis, the book employs exploratory factor analysis (EFA) to identify factors under each of these four dimensions; and structure of the relationship between factors and women representation in management is confirmed by the confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). This book is beneficial for several stakeholders as it is a multidimensional study. It is useful for the undergraduate and post graduate students and research scholars of management, social sciences (such as economics, gender studies, psychology, political sciences, sociology etc), law, medicine, and engineering. Apart from this, it is also useful for corporate executives, decision makers of corporate governance, women elected representatives, administrators, development practitioners, teachers, legal experts, international agencies like UN who are working on women empowerment, and all those agencies working towards meeting SDG5 goal.India Studies in Business and Economics,2198-0020Diversity in the workplaceStrategic planningLeadershipSexEthnologyAsiaCultureDiversity Management and Women in BusinessBusiness Strategy and LeadershipGender StudiesAsian CultureDiversity in the workplace.Strategic planning.Leadership.Sex.EthnologyCulture.Diversity Management and Women in Business.Business Strategy and Leadership.Gender Studies.Asian Culture.658.400954Guha Samapti1742029Rajesh Kadam SanskrutiMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQ9910865249303321An Inquiry into Women Representation in Management4168650UNINA
