IMPROVING WAGE BILL CONDITIONALITY""; ""REFERENCES""This paper assesses whether the scaling up of aid and the resulting increase in government spending that is needed to meet the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) would be hampered by wage bill ceilings that are often part of government programs supported by the IMF's Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility (PRGF). Based on country case studies for 2003-05, the paper suggests that, in the past, wage bill ceilings have not restricted the use of available donor funds. Yet the paper offers a number of suggestions for further enhancing the flexibility of wage bill conditionality in PRGF-supported programs to respond to higher aid flows that may result in the future.IMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;No. 2006/106WagesEconometric modelsLabor policyEconometric modelsEconomic assistanceEconometric modelsLaborimfPublic FinanceimfFiscal PolicyimfForeign AidimfNational Government Expenditures and Welfare ProgramsimfWages, Compensation, and Labor Costs: GeneralimfWage Level and StructureimfWage DifferentialsimfPublic Sector Labor MarketsimfEmploymentimfUnemploymentimfWagesimfIntergenerational Income DistributionimfAggregate Human CapitalimfAggregate Labor ProductivityimfIncomes PolicyimfPrice PolicyimfLabourimfincome economicsimfCivil service & public sectorimfPublic finance & taxationimfPublic sector wagesimfWage adjustmentsimfCivil service reformimfGovernment wage billimfExpenditureimfCivil serviceimfGhanaimfWagesEconometric models.Labor policyEconometric models.Economic assistanceEconometric models.LaborPublic FinanceFiscal PolicyForeign AidNational Government Expenditures and Welfare ProgramsWages, Compensation, and Labor Costs: GeneralWage Level and StructureWage DifferentialsPublic Sector Labor MarketsEmploymentUnemploymentWagesIntergenerational Income DistributionAggregate Human CapitalAggregate Labor ProductivityIncomes PolicyPrice PolicyLabourincome economicsCivil service & public sectorPublic finance & taxationPublic sector wagesWage adjustmentsCivil service reformGovernment wage billExpenditureCivil serviceFedelino Annalisa1472674Schwartz Gerd1574041Verhoeven Marijn1574042International Monetary Fund.Fiscal Affairs Dept.DcWaIMFBOOK9910788408703321Aid Scaling Up3850058UNINA03302oam 22006254a 450 99620417360331620240424230055.090-485-0806-110.1515/9789048508068(CKB)1000000000578500(EBL)419832(OCoLC)476250579(SSID)ssj0000187192(PQKBManifestationID)11170838(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000187192(PQKBWorkID)10253715(PQKB)11726009(OCoLC)302405669(MdBmJHUP)muse78667(DE-B1597)518148(OCoLC)1088916273(DE-B1597)9789048508068(Au-PeEL)EBL419832(CaPaEBR)ebr10302400(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/29672(MiAaPQ)EBC419832(EXLCZ)99100000000057850020080516h20072007 uy 0engur|n|---|||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierA key to Dutch history the cultural canon of The Netherlands /[chair; Frits van Oostrom][Amsterdam] :Amsterdam University Press,2007.©2007.1 online resource (228 pages) color illustrations, color maps, color portraits, photographsDescription based upon print version of record.90-5356-498-5 Includes bibliographical references.Frontmatter --Contents --Foreword to the English version --Foreword --Section A --Summary --Chapter 1: The canon - the pros and cons --Chapter 2: The canon outlined --Chapter 3: The canon in practice --Chapter 4: The canon in revision --Chapter 5: The Canon in position --Closing remarks --Literature --Appendix 1: Letter of instruction --Appendix 2: Composition of committee, description of working methods --Appendix 3: Discussion partners and experts --Abbreviations --Section B --Introduction --The canon of the Netherlands --Main lines of the canon --AcknowledgementsMany think they know the legends behind tulipmania and the legacy of the Dutch East India Tea Company, but what basic knowledge of Dutch history and culture should be passed on to future generations? A Key to Dutch History and its resulting overview of historical highlights, assembled by a number of specialists in consultation with the Dutch general public, provides a thought-provoking and timely answer. The democratic process behind the volume is reminiscent of the way in which the Netherlands has succeeded for centuries at collective craftsmanship, and says as much about the Netherlands as does the outcome of the opinions voiced.HistoryStudy and teachingNetherlandsCivilizationHistoryStudy and teaching.949.2van Oostrom Fritsauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut888970Oostrom F.
