Keith.Although consistently overlooked or dismissed, John 8.6, 8 in the Pericope Adulterae is the only place in canonical or non-canonical Jesus tradition that portrays Jesus as writing. After establishing that John 8.6, 8 is indeed a claim that Jesus could write, this book offers a new interpretation and transmission history of the Pericope Adulterae . Not only did the pericope’s interpolator place the story in John’s Gospel in order to highlight the claim that Jesus could write, but he did so at John 7.53–8.11 as a result of carefully reading the Johannine narrative. The final chapter of the book proposes a plausible socio-historical context for the insertion of the story.New Testament tools, studies and documents ;v. 38.AuthorshipHistoryLiteracyReligious aspectsChristianityAuthorshipHistory.LiteracyReligious aspectsChristianity.226.5/06Keith Chris1480250MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910778519203321The Pericope Adulterae, the Gospel of John, and the literacy of Jesus3696809UNINA01361nam 2200445 450 991079643290332120191119095125.02-8047-0222-7(CKB)3810000000102455(MiAaPQ)EBC5693206(Au-PeEL)EBL5693206(CaPaEBR)ebr11655025(OCoLC)1086125368(PPN)24500033X(EXLCZ)99381000000010245520191119d2014 uy 0freurcnu||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierEntre confort, désir et normes le logement contemporain, 1995-2012 /Monique Eleb, Philippe SimonBruxelles :Mardaga,[2014]©20141 online resource (304 pages) illustrationsCollection Architecture2-8047-0155-7 Includes bibliographical references (pages 296-299) and indexes.Architecture, DomesticFranceArchitecture, Domestic728.0944Eleb Monique1945-10746Simon Philippe1961-MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910796432903321Entre confort, désir et normes3818268UNINA
