Heike Schirmer investigates the dynamics of partnerships between social ventures and corporations. Based on four case studies from Germany, the author shows two opposing formation processes. Means-driven partnerships, dominated by elements of effectuation, start with generalized aspirations and evolve over time. Goal-driven partnerships, dominated by elements of causation, start with pre-determined goals and follow a strategic, systematic implementation. The data also reveals that formation processes and governance mechanisms might be interlinked.   Contents Social Entrepreneurship, Corporate Social Responsibility, and Socially-Oriented Partnerships Partnership Formation Processes: Means-Driven and Goal-Driven Partnerships Governance Mechanisms in Inter-Organizational Relations and Their Link to Partnership Formation Processes   Target Groups Researchers and students in the fields of the social and management sciences with a focus on inter-organizational partnerships and social entrepreneurship Social entrepreneurs    The Author Heike Schirmer obtained her PhD from the Freie Universität Berlin focusing on cross-sector partnerships. She works as a consultant at a leading international management consultancy.                        .EconomicsSociological aspectsSociologySocial sciencesOrganizational Studies, Economic Sociologyhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/X22020Sociology, generalhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/X22000Social Sciences, generalhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/X00000EconomicsSociological aspects.Sociology.Social sciences.Organizational Studies, Economic Sociology.Sociology, general.Social Sciences, general.658658.408658/.044Schirmer Heikeauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut1226800BOOK9910484108203321Combined Forces for Social Impact2848571UNINA03868nam 22005415 450 991034597440332120251101110046.03-11-044649-910.1515/9783110446494(CKB)3710000000772866(MiAaPQ)EBC5117648(DE-B1597)456797(OCoLC)979912508(DE-B1597)9783110446494(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/62751(oapen)doab62751(ODN)ODN0004592362(EXLCZ)99371000000077286620190708d2016 fg gerurcnu||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierWirtschaftsgeschichte der mittelalterlichen Juden Fragen und Einschätzungen /Michael TochDe Gruyter2008München ;Wien : De Gruyter Oldenbourg, [2016]©20081 online resource (viii, 218 pages) illustrationsSchriften des Historischen Kollegs ;71Title from eBook information screen..3-486-58670-X Frontmatter -- Inhalt -- Vorwort / Toch, Michael -- Verzeichnis der Tagungsteilnehmer -- Christian Perceptions of Jewish Economic Activity in the Middle Ages / Todeschini, Giacomo -- Taking Interest from Non-Jews - Main Problems in Traditional Jewish Law / Mutius, Hans-Georg von -- The Jews in Byzantium and the Eastern Mediterranean: Economic Activities from the Thirteenth to the Mid-Fifteenth Century / Jacoby, David -- The Jews of Sicily and Southern Italy: Economic Activity / Abulafia, David -- The Status and Economic Activity of Jews in the Venetian Dominions during the Fifteenth Century / Mueller, Reinhold C. -- Church Articles: Pawns in the Hands of Jewish Moneylenders / Shatzmiller, Joseph -- Medieval "Pigeonholes" / Holtmann, Annegret -- Juden als Münzmeister, Zollpächter und fürstliche Finanzbeamte im mittelalterlichen Aschkenas / Wenninger, Markus J. -- "Was der Arme benötigt, bist Du verpflichtet zu geben" / Barzen, Rainer -- Mobilität und Sittsamkeit: Jüdische Frauen im Wirtschaftsleben des spätmittelalterlichen Aschkenas / Keil, Martha -- Economic Activities of German Jews in the Middle Ages / Toch, Michael -- Index -- BackmatterBei jeder Betrachtung des Lebens der mittelalterlichen Juden werden zwar die wirtschaftlichen Aspekte erwähnt, ihre wissenschaftliche Untersuchung bleibt jedoch meist oberflächlich und von den Erkenntnissen der Wirtschaftsgeschichte abgekoppelt.
