Cohen shows that the dynamics of the expanded conformations is likely to be very fast, suggesting a spring-like motion of the whole chain. The findings shed new light on the elasticity of structure in repeat proteins, which is related to their function in binding multiple and disparate partners. This concise research summary provides useful insights for students beginning a PhD in this or a related area, and researchers entering this field.Springer Theses, Recognizing Outstanding Ph.D. Research,2190-5053Bioorganic chemistrySpectrum analysisBiophysicsBiophysicsBioorganic Chemistryhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/C19010Spectroscopy/Spectrometryhttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/C11020Biological and Medical Physics, Biophysicshttps://scigraph.springernature.com/ontologies/product-market-codes/P27008Bioorganic chemistry.Spectrum analysis.Biophysics.Biophysics.Bioorganic Chemistry.Spectroscopy/Spectrometry.Biological and Medical Physics, Biophysics.543.56Cohen Sharonaauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut1061392MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910254058003321Single-Molecule Fluorescence Spectroscopy of the Folding of a Repeat Protein2518692UNINA
