We will focus on the discrete potential theory and how the theory is effectively used in the analysis of disordered media.Thefirst few chapters of the notes can be used as an introduction to discrete potential theory. Recently, there has beensignificantprogress on thetheoryof random walkon disordered media such as fractals and random media.Random walk on a percolation cluster('the ant in the labyrinth')is one of the typical examples. In 1986, H. Kesten showedtheanomalous behavior of a random walk on a percolation cluster at critical probability. Partly motivated by this work, analysis and diffusion processes on fractals have been developed since the late eighties. As a result, various new methods have been produced to estimate heat kernels on disordered media. These developments are summarized in the notesRandom walksPotential theory (Mathematics)Distribution (Probability theory)Springer eBooksPrinted edition:9783319031514http://link.springer.com/book/10.1007/978-3-319-03152-1An electronic book accessible through the World Wide Web.b1430555003-03-2229-07-16991003264329707536Random walks on disordered media and their scaling limits1392288UNISALENTOle01329-07-16m@ -engsz 0001861nam0 22003611i 450 UON0038479620241103095127.5797-7178-164-220101008d2009 |0itac50 bamulEG|||| |||||Atti del Convegno InternazionaleOriente-Occidente: prospettive e polemiche, 31 marzo - 2 aprile 2009Università di Helwan, Facoltà di Lettere, Dipartimento di lingua e Letteratura Italiana (Egitto)in collaborazione con l'Università degli Studi di Napoli "L'Orientale"[Cairo : Dar Al-Moshaf]20091 v.24 cmAltro front. in araboLETTERATURA COMPARATACongressiUONC062582FIEGIl CairoUONL000377809Storia, descrizione, studio critico di più di due letterature21Istituto Orientale di NapoliUONV265274UNIVERSITA'HelwanFacoltà di LettereDipartimento di Lingua e Letteratura ItalianaUONV200414Dar al-MoshafUONV277822650I.U.O.Istituto Orientale di NapoliUONV265275IUOIstituto Orientale di NapoliUONV265276Regio Istituto Superiore OrientaleIstituto Orientale di NapoliUONV265277Istituto Universitario OrientaleIstituto Orientale di NapoliUONV265278Istituto Universitario OrientaleIstituto Orientale di NapoliUONV216645ITSOL20260828RICASIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEO E ARCHIVIO STORICOUONSIUON00384796SIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEO E ARCHIVIO STORICOSI VI 041 SI AA 30382 5 041 ATTI DEL CONVEGNO INTERNAZIONALE450057UNIOR
