It analyses the process which brought the Irish clergy to establish two dedicated colleges in the epicenter of early modern Catholicism and to develop a series of missionary initiatives in the English islands of the West Indies. During a period of great political change in Ireland, continental Europe and the Atlantic region, the book traces how and through which key figures and institutions this clerical channel was established, while at the same time identifying the main obstacles to its development. .EuropeHistory1492-World historyReligionHistorySocial historyHistory of Early Modern EuropeWorld History, Global and Transnational HistoryHistory of ReligionSocial HistoryEuropeHistory1492-.World history.ReligionHistory.Social history.History of Early Modern Europe.World History, Global and Transnational History.History of Religion.Social History.282900Binasco Matteo1975-authttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut945288MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910410025903321Making, Breaking and Remaking the Irish Missionary Network2134001UNINA
