The book begins with an overview of the current state of storage and its evolution from the network perspective, looking closely at the different protocols and connection schemes and how they differentiate in use case and operational behavior. The book explores the software changes that are motivating this evolution, ranging from data management, to in-stream processing and storage in virtual systems, and changes in the decades-old OS stack. It explores Software-Defined Storage as a way to construct storage networks, the impact of Big Data, high-performance computing, and the cloud on storage networking. As networks and data integrity are intertwined, the book looks at how data is split up and moved to the various appliances holding that dataset and its impact. Because data security is often neglected, users will find a comprehensive discussion on security issues that offers remedies that can be applied. The book concludes with a look at technologies on the horizon that will impact storage and its networks, such as NVDIMMs, The Hybrid Memory Cube, VSANs, and NAND Killers. Puts all the new developments in storage networking in a clear perspective for near-term and long-term planning Offers a complete overview of storage networking, serving as a go-to resource for creating a coherent implementation plan Provides the details needed to understand the area, and clears a path through the confusion and hype that surrounds such a radical revolution of the industryComputer networksStorage area networks (Computer networks)Computer networks.Storage area networks (Computer networks)004.6O'Reilly James98956MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910583329703321Network storage2157116UNINA01125nam0 22002771i 450 UON0012459920231205102731.3020020107d1982 |0itac50 baengKR|||| 1||||A first reader in Korean writing in mixed scriptFred LukoffSoulYonsei University Press1982xix, 300 p.26 cmLingua coreanaScritturaUONC008811FIKRSeoulUONL000020COR II BCOREA - LINGUISTICA - GRAMMATICHEALUKOFFFredUONV077313250223Yonsei University PressUONV246120650ITSOL20250523RICASIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEOUONSIUON00124599SIBA - SISTEMA BIBLIOTECARIO DI ATENEOSI COR II B 041 SI SA 43807 5 041 Lingua coreana - Scrittura - HangeulLingua coreana - ScritturaUONC008812First reader in Korean writing in mixed script1317643UNIOR03846nam 2200577Ia 450 991021998560332120200520144314.01-281-43014-59786611430146(CKB)1000000000713430(EBL)345194(OCoLC)437212091(SSID)ssj0000125553(PQKBManifestationID)11139874(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000125553(PQKBWorkID)10026822(PQKB)10021774(Au-PeEL)EBL345194(CaPaEBR)ebr10227030(MiAaPQ)EBC345194(oapen)doab114698(EXLCZ)99100000000071343020070820d2007 uy 0engur|n|---|||||txtccrCommon battlefield training for airmen /Thomas Manacapilli ... What might seem fairly benign in some locations, such as Germany, would be hazardous in others, such as Iraq. And some initially deployed to a "safe" location may be redeployed to a more hazardous one. While those who routinely go "outside the wire" receive appropriate training, the others historically have not. The Air Force is thus seeking to establish common battlefield airman training (CBAT) and asked RAND Project Air Force to examine the content and resources both for this course and a companion course for non-ground combat personnel. RAND conducted surveys and interviews to determine the kinds of experiences airmen have had "outside the wire" and worked with subject-matter experts to categorize them and suggest appropriate types and amounts of training for them. This report presents the results of these activities."--Publisher's websiteAeronautics, MilitaryStudy and teachingUnited StatesAeronautics, MilitaryStudy and teaching358.4/15071073Manacapilli Thomas904726MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910219985603321Common battlefield training for airmen2023205UNINA
