Of increasing importance are those from chemical and biological warfare (CW and BW). To help review its current state of preparedness, the Chief of Naval Operations asked the National Research Council (NRC) to assess the U.S. Navy (TM)s defense capabilities against CW and BW threats. In particular to what extent are they being developed to enable naval forces to sense and analyze quickly the presence of chemical and biological agents, withstand or avoid exposure to such agents, deal with contamination under a broad spectrum of operational conditions, and over what period will these capabilities be realized. This report presents the results of that assessment. It provides an overview of the potential threats, and an evaluation of the Navy (TM)s operations, non-medical programs, and medical countermeasures designed to confront those threats. The report also presents a series of general and specific findings and recommendations based on these assessments.Naval art and scienceUnited StatesMilitary planningUnited StatesBiological warfareUnited StatesChemical warfareUnited StatesNaval art and scienceMilitary planningBiological warfareChemical warfare358/.3/0973National Research Council (U.S.).Committee for an Assessment of Naval Forces' Defense Capabilities Against Chemical and Biological Warfare Threats.MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910956998603321Naval forces' defense capabilities against chemical and biological warfare threats4360443UNINA03554nam 22005295 450 991104649750332120251027182254.0979-88-87199-34-410.1515/9798887199344(CKB)38275929600041(DE-B1597)764887(DE-B1597)9798887199344(ODN)ODN0012148651(MiAaPQ)EBC32006078(Au-PeEL)EBL32006078(EXLCZ)993827592960004120250423h20242024 fg rusur|||||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierRussia's Path toward Enlightenment: Faith, Politics, and Reason, 1500-1801 =Россия: Путь к Просвещению Вера, политика и разум, 1500–1801Том 2 /Gary M. Examining a broad range of writings, G. M. Hamburg shows why Russia’s enlightenment constituted a precondition for the explosive emergence of nineteenth-century writers such as Fedor Dostoevsky and Vladimir SolovievContemporary Western Rusistika SeriesРоссия: Путь к Просвещению Вера, политика и разум, 1500–1801.HISTORY / Russia & the Former Soviet UnionbisacshEarly Modern Russia, Russian History, Political Thought, 17th Century Russia.HISTORY / Russia & the Former Soviet Union.947.04HIS032000HIS037040POL010000bisacshHamburg Gary M.authttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut678054Terpugova Olgactbhttps://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/ctbDE-B1597DE-B1597BOOK9911046497503321Russia's Path toward Enlightenment: Faith, Politics, and Reason, 1500-18014450003UNINA
