Instead, this book demonstrates how their residues are embedded in the systemic racism that persists today. It calls for a reckoning with the past to dismantle the structures of racism in the present. Frank Aragbonfoh Abumere is a philosopher and political scientist, and currently a visiting assistant professor at Clark Atlanta University.
