It was so absurd and ludicrous it gave him an idea. So Nufer went to Emerald Downs, home of thoroughbred racing in the Northwest. There, he split himself into three characters modeled on the heteronyms of Fernando Pessoa. Using a money management plan from a James Kelman short story, Nufer gave these characters money and set them free to gamble. He returned to the track every week for a full season, and his characters/heteronyms continued to bet, with real money and in the name of art. At the end of the season, he had pages of data in the form of a wagering diary, the outcome of a literary experiment that formed the basis of a literal experimental novel.Horse racingFictionNovels.lcgftHorse racing823.914Nufer Doug1359588NjHacINjHacl9910678400703321By Kelman Out of Pessoa3374105UNINA00807nam0-2200253 --450 991100197310332120250604115955.020250604d1900----kmuy0itay5050 baitaIT 001yy<<Il >>viticoltore dinnanzi al suo podere distrutto dalla Fillosseradi Gaston Provost-Dumarchais...AstiGiornale di agricoltura pratica[1900]VIII, 103 p.18 cmViticoltura634.8123itaProvost-Dumarchais,Gaston1821174ITUNINAREICATUNIMARCBK9911001973103321A MUSA 44103/3257/25FAGBCFAGBCViticoltore dinnanzi al suo podere distrutto dalla Fillossera4384829UNINA
