This paper examines the influence of the peg on ECCU price stability, and analyzes whether absolute Purchasing Power Parity (PPP) holds within the currency union. It shows that U.S. price stability has helped anchor price movement in the ECCU. As the same time, inflation in the ECCU is not entirely imported from the U.S., and has some domestic policy content. In addition, deviation from PPP within the ECCU can be attributed to persistent price dispersion of nontradables.IMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;No. 2008/090PricesCaribbean AreaEconometric modelsInflation (Finance)Caribbean AreaEconometric modelsMoneyCaribbean AreaEconometric modelsConsumer price indexesimfCurrencyimfDeflationimfForeign ExchangeimfForeign exchangeimfInflationimfMacroeconomicsimfOpen Economy MacroeconomicsimfPrice indexesimfPrice LevelimfPricesimfPurchasing power parityimfReal exchange ratesimfCaribbean AreaEconomic conditionsEconometric modelsUnited StatesEconomic conditionsEconometric modelsUnited StatesimfPricesEconometric models.Inflation (Finance)Econometric models.MoneyEconometric models.Consumer price indexesCurrencyDeflationForeign ExchangeForeign exchangeInflationMacroeconomicsOpen Economy MacroeconomicsPrice indexesPrice LevelPricesPurchasing power parityReal exchange rates337.1729Duttagupta Rupa1815725Sun Yan690256DcWaIMFBOOK9910959048903321Price Dynamics in the Eastern Caribbean4372475UNINA03087nam 2200601 a 450 991097190190332120251116191455.01-280-45080-097866104508000-203-96896-49781134186594(CKB)1000000000359323(EBL)259048(OCoLC)437166534(SSID)ssj0000264254(PQKBManifestationID)11192254(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000264254(PQKBWorkID)10283003(PQKB)10016883(MiAaPQ)EBC259048(Au-PeEL)EBL259048(CaPaEBR)ebr10162699(CaONFJC)MIL45080(EXLCZ)99100000000035932320050202d2005 uy 0engur|n|---|||||txtccrUnderstanding children's literature key essays from the second edition of The International companion encyclopedia of children's literature /edited by Peter Hunt2nd ed.London ;New York Routledge20051 online resource (241 p.)Description based upon print version of record.0-415-37546-0 0-415-37547-9 Includes bibliographical references and index.Introduction, the expanding world of children's literature studies / Peter Hunt -- Theorising and theories / David Rudd -- Critical tradition and ideological positioning / Charles Sarland -- Space, history and culture / Tony Watkins -- Analysing texts / John Stephens -- Readers, texts, contexts / Michael Benton -- Reading the unconscious / Hamida Bosmajian -- Feminism revisited / Lissa Paul -- Decoding the images / Perry Nodelman -- Bibliography / Matthew Grenby -- Understanding reading and literacy / Sally Yates -- Intertextuality and the child reader / Christine Wilkie-Stibbs -- Healing texts / Hugh Crago -- What the authors tell us / Peter Hunt.Edited by Peter Hunt, a leading figure in the field, this book introduces the study of children's literature, addressing theoretical questions as well as the most relevant critical approaches to the discipline. The fourteen chapters draw on insights from academic disciplines ranging from cultural and literary studies to education and psychology, and include an essay on what writers for children think about their craft. The result is a fascinating array of perspectives on key topics in children's literature as well as an introduction to such diverse concerns as literacy, ideologChildren's literatureHistory and criticismChildrenBooks and readingChildren's literatureHistory and criticism.ChildrenBooks and reading.809/.89282Hunt Peter1945-164337MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910971901903321Understanding children's literature4496976UNINA03023nam 22004935 450 991015867050332120251116170917.0978365816812410.1007/978-3-658-16812-4(CKB)3710000001009154(DE-He213)978-3-658-16812-4(MiAaPQ)EBC4776566(PPN)19834001X(EXLCZ)99371000000100915420170104d2016 u| 0engurnn#008mamaatxtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierGeneralized network improvement and packing problems /by Michael Holzhauser1st ed. 2016.Wiesbaden :Springer Fachmedien Wiesbaden :Imprint: Springer Spektrum,2016.1 online resource (XVI, 213 p. 26 illus.)3-658-16812-9 3-658-16811-0 Fractional Packing and Parametric Search Frameworks -- Budget-Constrained Minimum Cost Flows: The Continuous Case -- Budget-Constrained Minimum Cost Flows: The Discrete Case -- Generalized Processing Networks -- Convex Generalized Flows.Michael Holzhauser discusses generalizations of well-known network flow and packing problems by additional or modified side constraints. By exploiting the inherent connection between the two problem classes, the author investigates the complexity and approximability of several novel network flow and packing problems and presents combinatorial solution and approximation algorithms.
