In these productions the Virgin serves as a paradigm to unlock the histories of conquest and colonization, racism, and sexual oppression in the US-Mexico borderland and beyond.Comparative Feminist Studies,2752-3217SexLiteratureCommunicationCultureStudy and teachingLiteratureHistory and criticismEthnologyGender StudiesLiteratureMedia and CommunicationCultural StudiesLiterary HistorySociocultural AnthropologySex.Literature.Communication.CultureStudy and teaching.LiteratureHistory and criticism.Ethnology.Gender Studies.Literature.Media and Communication.Cultural Studies.Literary History.Sociocultural Anthropology.305.4886872073Román-Odio Cauthttp://id.loc.gov/vocabulary/relators/aut1794144BOOK9910954081803321Sacred Iconographies in Chicana Cultural Productions4334677UNINA03408nam 22006612 450 991097047210332120151005020621.01-107-12141-80-511-32817-60-511-15400-30-511-11898-80-521-79102-21-280-15929-40-511-49230-80-511-04671-5(CKB)111056485622474(EBL)201366(OCoLC)475914666(SSID)ssj0000140804(PQKBManifestationID)11911801(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000140804(PQKBWorkID)10054648(PQKB)11398368(UkCbUP)CR9780511492303(MiAaPQ)EBC201366(Au-PeEL)EBL201366(CaPaEBR)ebr10014618(CaONFJC)MIL15929(OCoLC)51202951(EXLCZ)9911105648562247420090302d2001|||| uy| 0engur|||||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierDomain conditions in social choice theory /Wulf Gaertner1st ed.Cambridge :Cambridge University Press,2001.1 online resource (ix, 153 pages) digital, PDF file(s)Title from publisher's bibliographic system (viewed on 05 Oct 2015).0-521-02874-4 0-511-01623-9 Includes bibliographical references (p. 131-145) and index.1.Introduction --2.Notation, definitions, and two fundamental theorems --3.The existence of collective choice rules under exclusion conditions for finite sets of discrete alternatives --4.Arrovian social welfare functions, nonmanipulable voting procedures and stable group decision functions --5.Restrictions on the distribution of individuals' preferences --6.The existence of social choice rules in n-dimensional continuous space --7.Concluding remarks.Wulf Gaertner provides a comprehensive account of an important and complex issue within social choice theory: how to establish a social welfare function while restricting the spectrum of individual preferences in a sensible way. Gaertner's starting point is K. J. Arrow's famous 'Impossibility Theorem', which showed that no welfare function could exist if an unrestricted domain of preferences is to be satisfied together with some other appealing conditions. A number of leading economists have tried to provide avenues out of this 'impossibility' by restricting the variety of preferences: here, Gaertner provides a clear and detailed account, using standardized mathematical notation, of well over forty theorems associated with domain conditions. Domain Conditions in Social Choice Theory will be an essential addition to the library of social choice theory for scholars and their advanced graduate students.Social choiceMathematical modelsDecision makingMathematical modelsSocial choiceMathematical models.Decision makingMathematical models.302/.13Gaertner Wulf121855UkCbUPUkCbUPBOOK9910970472103321Domain conditions in social choice theory709446UNINA
