First, an accurate assessment of the fiscal stance in OPCs can be obscured by large and volatile oil revenue flows. Second, uncertain and volatile oil revenue flows can complicate the management of macroeconomic policies in these countries. Third, given the exhaustibility of oil reserves, OPCs need to address longer-term sustainability and intergenerational equity issues. The use of non-oil fiscal indicators, stress tests, medium-term frameworks, and permanent oil income models can greatly aid in addressing these challenges.IMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;No. 2009/056Petroleum industry and tradeEconomic aspectsFiscal policyPetroleum reservesEconomic aspectsBusiness Taxes and SubsidiesimfCommoditiesimfEnergy: Demand and SupplyimfEnergy: GeneralimfFiscal PolicyimfFiscal policyimfFiscal stanceimfInstitutions and the MacroeconomyimfInvestment & securitiesimfInvestments: EnergyimfMacroeconomicsimfNational Budget, Deficit, and Debt: GeneralimfNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: GeneralimfOil pricesimfOilimfOil, gas and mining taxesimfPetroleum industry and tradeimfPricesimfPublic finance & taxationimfPublic FinanceimfStructure, Scope, and Performance of GovernmentimfTaxationimfTaxesimfYemen, Republic ofimfPetroleum industry and tradeEconomic aspects.Fiscal policy.Petroleum reservesEconomic aspects.Business Taxes and SubsidiesCommoditiesEnergy: Demand and SupplyEnergy: GeneralFiscal PolicyFiscal policyFiscal stanceInstitutions and the MacroeconomyInvestment & securitiesInvestments: EnergyMacroeconomicsNational Budget, Deficit, and Debt: GeneralNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: GeneralOil pricesOilOil, gas and mining taxesPetroleum industry and tradePricesPublic finance & taxationPublic FinanceStructure, Scope, and Performance of GovernmentTaxationTaxes332.152Medas Paulo1815767Zakharova Daria1815768International Monetary Fund.Fiscal Affairs Dept.DcWaIMFBOOK9910969850603321A Primeron Fiscal Analysis in Oil-Producing Countries4371271UNINA
