It is designed for readers of a range of scientific specialties (chemistry, biology, physics, etc.) and examines various industrial problems (e.g., water, sewerage and maintaining building materials). Metallic, cementitious, polymeric and composite materials age depending on their service and operational environments. In such cases, the presence of microorganisms can lead to biodeterioration. However, microorganisms can also help protect structures, provided their immense possibilities are mastered and put to good use. This book is divided into five themes related to biocolonization, material biodeterioration, and potential improvements to such materials resulting in better performance levels with respect to biodeterioration: • physical chemistry of surfaces; • biofilm implication in biodeterioration; • biocorrosion of metallic materials; • biodeterioration of non-metallic materials; • design and modification of materials. The affiliations of the authors of the various chapters illustrate the synergy between academic research and its transfer to industry. This demonstrates the essential interaction between the various actors in this complex field: analysing, understanding, and responding to the scientific issues related to biodeterioration.Science des Matériaux Mechanical chemistryMechanical chemistry.541.39Lors Christine1554007Feugeas FrançoiseTribollet BernardMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910793228503321Interactions materials - microorganisms3814948UNINA07550oam 22016214 450 991096806950332120250426110059.0978661373806697814623261501462326153978145273530614527353019781280896750128089675297814519960741451996071(CKB)3360000000439018(EBL)1608467(SSID)ssj0000948607(PQKBManifestationID)11576951(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000948607(PQKBWorkID)10965748(PQKB)10893607(OCoLC)568151325(MiAaPQ)EBC1608467(IMF)1MDGEE2007001(IMF)1MDGEA20070011MDGEA2007001(EXLCZ)99336000000043901820020129d2007 uf 0engur|n|---|||||txtccrRepublic of Madagascar : First Review Under the Three-Year Arrangement Under the Poverty Reduction and Growth Facility and Request for Waiver and Modification of Performance Criteria1st ed.Washington, D.C. :International Monetary Fund,2007.1 online resource (84 p.)IMF Staff Country ReportsCover title."Prepared by a staff team of the International Monetary Fund as background documentation for the periodic consultation with this member country.""January 2007."9781451825411 1451825412 Cover; Contents; Abbreviations and Acronyms; Executive Summary and Issues for Discussion; I. Statistical IssuesThe staff report for the First Review Under the Three-Year Arrangement for the Republic of Madagascar reviews economic and financial policies. The 2007 economic program is designed to sustain growth, promote fiscal consolidation, and reduce poverty while keeping inflation to single digits and reducing the economy’s vulnerability to shocks. Central bank interventions will be limited to smoothing large variations in the exchange rate and meeting the program’s foreign reserve target. Planned spending reductions should offset any shortfall in revenues, which would allow the domestic financing target to be met.IMF Staff Country Reports; Country Report ;No. 2007/007Fiscal policyMadagascarMonetary policyMadagascarBalance of paymentsMadagascarBankingimfBanks and BankingimfBanks and bankingimfBanksimfBudget planning and preparationimfBudget SystemsimfBudgetimfBudgeting & financial managementimfBudgetingimfDepository InstitutionsimfExpenditureimfExpenditures, PublicimfExports and ImportsimfFinance, PublicimfFiscal PolicyimfInternational economicsimfInternational Trade OrganizationsimfMacroeconomicsimfMicro Finance InstitutionsimfMortgagesimfNational BudgetimfNational Budget, Deficit, and Debt: GeneralimfNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: GeneralimfPublic finance & taxationimfPublic FinanceimfPublic financial management (PFM)imfRevenue administrationimfRevenueimfSocial Services and WelfareimfSocial welfare & social servicesimfTariffimfTariffsimfTaxationimfTaxation, Subsidies, and Revenue: GeneralimfTaxesimfTrade PolicyimfMadagascarEconomic conditionsMadagascarEconomic policyMadagascar, Republic ofimfFiscal policyMonetary policyBalance of paymentsBankingBanks and BankingBanks and bankingBanksBudget planning and preparationBudget SystemsBudgetBudgeting & financial managementBudgetingDepository InstitutionsExpenditureExpenditures, PublicExports and ImportsFinance, PublicFiscal PolicyInternational economicsInternational Trade OrganizationsMacroeconomicsMicro Finance InstitutionsMortgagesNational BudgetNational Budget, Deficit, and Debt: GeneralNational Government Expenditures and Related Policies: GeneralPublic finance & taxationPublic FinancePublic financial management (PFM)Revenue administrationRevenueSocial Services and WelfareSocial welfare & social servicesTariffTariffsTaxationTaxation, Subsidies, and Revenue: GeneralTaxesTrade Policy332.1;332.1/532;332.1532International Monetary Fund.African Dept.DcWaIMFBOOK9910968069503321Republic of Madagascar2620371UNINA
