Achieving many of the environmental sustainable development goals (SDGs) depends on the efficient use of the water resources. It's therefore imperative to rely on the best modern scientific and practical achievements in the field of hydrogeosciences and associated approaches and methods. Water, Climate Change, and Sustainability provides key concepts in hydrogeosciences, introduces relevant field and modelling techniques to demonstrate their applications in water-sector with specific case studies, and discerns future directions of research and practical application related to the expected patterns of climate changes in different regions of the world. Volume highlights include: - Key concepts of practical applications of theory and methods of hydrogeosciences for sustainable development of water resources - Diverse approaches and methods for analyzing water resources and associated risks, pollution levels, vulnerability, and security - Practical applications of water resources in procuring food security, good health, clean energy and climate action Water, Climate Change, and Sustainability is a valuable resource for professionals, researchers, and graduate students from a wide variety of fields including hydrogeology, climate change, geophysics, geochemistry, geography, geohealth, and environmental science"--Provided by publisher.Water-supplyManagementCase studiesWater-supplyEffect of global warming onSustainable DevelopmentWater-supplyManagementWater-supplyEffect of global warming on.Sustainable Development.628.1Wiberg David ArthurPandey Vishnu PrasadShrestha SangamMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910819696803321Water, climate change, and sustainability4103662UNINA01274nas 2200373 c 450 991089367950332120250513224353.010.11588/diglit.22947urn:nbn:de:bsz:16-diglit-229476VD18 90310128(CKB)5280000000199843(DE-599)ZDB2774140-0(DE-101)1052114261(EXLCZ)99528000000019984320140612b17421742 |y |gerur|||||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierConclusa, welche von einem gemeinsamen höchstpreyßlichen Reichs-Vicariats-Hof-Gericht zu Augspurg, seit höchst-desselben Eröffnung abgefaßt wordenAugspurgMayer1742-1742Online-RessourceVD18 digitalZeitschriftgnd-content340Heiliges Römisches ReichReichsvikariatshofgerichtisb0016DE-1019999JOURNAL9910893679503321Conclusa, welche von einem gemeinsamen höchstpreyßlichen Reichs-Vicariats-Hof-Gericht zu Augspurg, seit höchst-desselben Eröffnung abgefaßt worden4267179UNINA03201nam 22007214a 450 991096716960332120251116215843.097866117350509780300255416(paper)978128173505812817350519780300135299030013529710.12987/9780300135299(CKB)1000000000473616(StDuBDS)AH23049862(SSID)ssj0000268519(PQKBManifestationID)11937688(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000268519(PQKBWorkID)10235494(PQKB)10109359(MiAaPQ)EBC3420301(DE-B1597)485607(OCoLC)952735802(DE-B1597)9780300135299(Au-PeEL)EBL3420301(CaPaEBR)ebr10202654(CaONFJC)MIL173505(OCoLC)923591873(Perlego)1089694(OCoLC)952735802(EXLCZ)99100000000047361620051128d2006 uy 0engur|||||||||||txtccrVoting about God in early church councils /Ramsay MacMullen1st ed.New Haven Yale University Pressc20061 online resource (192 p.)Bibliographic Level Mode of Issuance: Monograph9780300115963 0300115962 Includes bibliographical references (p. 155-166) and index.Introduction -- The democratic element -- The cognitive element -- The 'supernaturalist' element -- The violent element -- Preliminaries -- Councils in action -- The stage -- Dioscorus -- Management -- Exact words. In this study, Ramsay MacMullen steps aside from the well-worn path that previous scholars have trod to explore exactly how early Christian doctrines became official. Drawing on extensive verbatim stenographic records, he analyzes the ecumenical councils from A.D. 325 to 553, in which participants gave authority to doctrinal choices by majority vote. The author investigates the sometimes astonishing bloodshed and violence that marked the background to church council proceedings, and from there goes on to describe the planning and staging of councils, the emperors' role, the routines of debate, the participants' understanding of the issues, and their views on God's intervention in their activities. He concludes with a look at the significance of the councils and their doctrinal decisions within the history of Christendom.Councils and synodsChurch historyPrimitive and early church, ca. 30-600God (Christianity)History of doctrinesEarly church, ca. 30-600Councils and synods.Church historyGod (Christianity)History of doctrines262/.514MacMullen Ramsay1928-205377MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910967169603321Voting about God in early church councils4353894UNINA
