At the core of his survey lies the realization that objective and disinterested histories as well as historical 'truth' are unachievable. The past and questions about the nature of history remain interminably open to new and disobedient approaches.Jenkins reassesses conventional history in a bold fashion. His committed and radical study presents new ways of 'thinking history', a new methodology and philosophy and their impact on historical practice. This volume is HistoryPhilosophyHistoriographyHistoricismHistoryPhilosophy.Historiography.Historicism.90115.02bclJenkins Keith1943,1526319FlBoTFGFlBoTFGBOOK9910783829403321Refiguring history3768299UNINA05142nam 2200601 450 991082686100332120200520144314.03-11-040995-X3-11-040987-910.1515/9783110409871(CKB)3850000000000830(DE-B1597)445437(OCoLC)1024041278(OCoLC)979882959(DE-B1597)9783110409871(Au-PeEL)EBL4768888(CaPaEBR)ebr11316710(CaONFJC)MIL970132(OCoLC)963603946(MiAaPQ)EBC4768888(EXLCZ)99385000000000083020161222h20172017 uy 0engurcnu||||||||rdacontentrdamediardacarrierInnovative investigations of language in autism spectrum disorder /edited by Letitia R. Yet the precise nature of the disorder's impact on language development is not well understood, in part because of the language variability among children across the autism spectrum. The contributors to this volume - experts in fields ranging from communication disorders to developmental and clinical psychology to linguistics - use innovative techniques to address two broad questions: Is the variability of language development and use in children with ASD a function of the language, such that some linguistic domains are more vulnerable to ASD than others? Or is the variability a function of the individual, such that some characteristics predispose those with ASD to have varying levels of difficulty with language development and use? Contributors investigate these questions across linguistic levels, from lexical semantics and single-clause syntax, to computationally complex phonology and the syntax-pragmatics interface. Authors address both spoken and written domains within the wider context of language acquisition. This timely and broadly accessible volume will be of interest to a broad range of specialists, including linguists, psychologists, sociologists, behavioral neurologists, and cognitive neuroscientists.Language and the human lifespan series.Autistic peopleLanguageAutism.Cognitive Linguistics.Communication Disorders.Language Development.Psycholinguistics.Autistic peopleLanguage.616.85/882Naigles Letitia R.MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910826861003321Innovative investigations of language in autism spectrum disorder3926897UNINA03215nam 22007095 450 991096400530332120250623013804.0978069109767106910976749781400851003140085100910.1515/9781400851003(CKB)2550000001192149(EBL)1573469(OCoLC)870244359(SSID)ssj0001172775(PQKBManifestationID)11683432(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001172775(PQKBWorkID)11192661(PQKB)11771452(DE-B1597)448052(OCoLC)979686261(DE-B1597)9781400851003(Perlego)736120(MiAaPQ)EBC1573469(EXLCZ)99255000000119214920190708d2014 fg engur|n|---|||||txtccrCollected Works of C.G.
