Ekphrasis, as the verbal representation of visual representation, is both text and image, which makes it a complex yet fascinating phenomenon. By investigating its descriptive and narrative properties, this study sheds light on the interplay between text and image at work in ekphrasis.Amsterdam Studies in Classical Philology26.EkphrasisGreek literatureHistory and criticismEkphrasis.Greek literatureHistory and criticism.880.9001Koopman Niels1175200NL-LeKBNL-LeKBBOOK9910811147903321Ancient Greek ekphrasis2731828UNINA03258nam 2200793Ia 450 991096220180332120200520144314.0978067426754106742675409780674043992067404399510.4159/9780674043992(CKB)1000000000787012(StDuBDS)AH23050910(SSID)ssj0000253099(PQKBManifestationID)11216629(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000253099(PQKBWorkID)10186001(PQKB)11704760(MiAaPQ)EBC3300137(DE-B1597)457774(OCoLC)1049621284(OCoLC)1054863949(OCoLC)979629178(DE-B1597)9780674043992(Au-PeEL)EBL3300137(CaPaEBR)ebr10313854(OCoLC)432689724(MiAaPQ)EBC7186207(Au-PeEL)EBL7186207(Perlego)1147628(EXLCZ)99100000000078701220050914d2006 uy 0engur|||||||||||txtccrStudying the Jew scholarly antisemitism in Nazi Germany /Alan E. In a chilling story of academics who perverted their talents and distorted their research in support of persecution and genocide, Studying the Jew explores the intersection of ideology and scholarship, the state and the university, the intellectual and his motivations, to provide a new appreciation of the use and abuse of learning and the horrors perpetrated in the name of reason.AntisemitismGermanyHistory20th centuryNational socialism and scholarshipNational socialism and intellectualsHolocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)CausesGermanyIntellectual life20th centuryGermanyEthnic relationsAntisemitismHistoryNational socialism and scholarship.National socialism and intellectuals.Holocaust, Jewish (1939-1945)Causes.940.53/180943Steinweis Alan E1806810MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910962201803321Studying the Jew4360907UNINA
