In particular, regulatory reforms pertaining to loan classification and provisioning as well as liquidity requirements are reviewed and evaluated against best practices. The paper concludes that prudential regulation in Uruguay now generally conforms to high standards while also embracing innovative elements such as dynamic provisioning.IMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;No. 2009/199Banks and bankingState supervisionUruguayLiquidity (Economics)Banks and BankingimfBanks and bankingimfBanksimfCapital and Ownership StructureimfCredit riskimfCreditimfDepository InstitutionsimfFinanceimfFinancial Institutions and Services: Government Policy and RegulationimfFinancial institutionsimfFinancial regulation and supervisionimfFinancial Risk and Risk ManagementimfFinancial risk managementimfFinancial services law & regulationimfFinancing PolicyimfGoodwillimfIndustries: Financial ServicesimfLiquidity requirementsimfLoan classificationimfLoansimfMicro Finance InstitutionsimfMonetary economicsimfMonetary Policy, Central Banking, and the Supply of Money and Credit: GeneralimfMoney and Monetary PolicyimfMoneyimfMortgagesimfState supervisionimfValue of FirmsimfUruguayimfBanks and bankingState supervisionLiquidity (Economics)Banks and BankingBanks and bankingBanksCapital and Ownership StructureCredit riskCreditDepository InstitutionsFinanceFinancial Institutions and Services: Government Policy and RegulationFinancial institutionsFinancial regulation and supervisionFinancial Risk and Risk ManagementFinancial risk managementFinancial services law & regulationFinancing PolicyGoodwillIndustries: Financial ServicesLiquidity requirementsLoan classificationLoansMicro Finance InstitutionsMonetary economicsMonetary Policy, Central Banking, and the Supply of Money and Credit: GeneralMoney and Monetary PolicyMoneyMortgagesState supervisionValue of Firms332.1;332.1028Wezel Torsten1117600Adler Gustavo1614878Mansilla Mario1117599International Monetary Fund.Monetary and Capital Markets Dept.DcWaIMFBOOK9910961802603321Modernizing Bank Regulation in Support of Financial Deepening4371241UNINA
