Instream flow programs aim to balance ecosystem requirements and human uses of water, and try to determine how much water should be in rivers. With its range of river and ecosystem conditions, growing population, and high demands on water, Texas is representative of instream flow challenges across the United States, and its instream flow program may be a model for other jurisdictions. Three state agencies "the Texas Water Development Board (TWDB), the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD), and the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) "asked a committee of the National Research Council (NRC) to review the Programmatic Work Plan (PWP) and Technical Overview Document (TOD) that outline the state (TM)s instream flow initiative. The committee suggested several changes to the proposed plan, such as establishing clearer goals, modifying the flow chart that outlines the necessary steps for conducting an instream flow study, and provide better linkages between individual studies of biology, hydrology and hydraulics, physical processes, and water quality.RiversTexasStreamflowTexasRiversStreamflow551.483National Research Council (U.S.).Committee on Review of Methods for Establishing Instream Flows for Texas Rivers.MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910966804203321The science of instream flows4351222UNINA04043oam 2200733I 450 991095938640332120251116211733.01-317-84745-81-315-82863-41-317-84746-610.4324/9781315828633 (CKB)3710000000185984(EBL)1733915(SSID)ssj0001338229(PQKBManifestationID)11735548(PQKBTitleCode)TC0001338229(PQKBWorkID)11338181(PQKB)10887688(MiAaPQ)EBC1733915(Au-PeEL)EBL1733915(CaPaEBR)ebr10895875(CaONFJC)MIL628378(OCoLC)884014635(OCoLC)889310567(FINmELB)ELB138346(EXLCZ)99371000000018598420180706h20142004 uy 0engur|n|---|||||txtccrThe book of women's love and Jewish medieval medical literature on women Sefer Ahavat Nashim /edited and translated with a commentary by Carmen Caballero-Navas1st ed.London ;New York :Routledge,2004, 2014.1 online resource (323 p.)Kegan Paul Library of Jewish StudiesFirst published in 2004 by Kegan Paul Limited.1-138-96492-1 0-7103-0758-6 Includes bibliographical references and index.Cover; Title Page; Copyright Page; Dedication; Table of Contents; Preface; Acknowledgements; Part One: The Book in its context; Chapter 1: Composition and characteristics of the Book; 1.1.
