A growth accounting analysis indicates that the erosion in output per capita over the sample period is due to the negative growth of both TFP and physical capital per capita. Sound macroeconomic policies, supported by official development assistance and structural reforms, are found to be key to raising TFP growth.IMF Working Papers; Working Paper ;No. 2006/208Industrial productivityNigerCapacityimfCapital accumulationimfCapital and Total Factor ProductivityimfCapitalimfClimateimfCostimfEconomic theoryimfGlobal WarmingimfHuman CapitalimfHuman capitalimfIncome economicsimfIndustrial productivityimfIntangible CapitalimfInvestmentimfInvestments: GeneralimfLabor ProductivityimfLaborimfLabourimfMacroeconomicsimfMacroeconomics: ProductionimfNatural Disasters and Their ManagementimfNatural DisastersimfNatural disastersimfOccupational ChoiceimfProduction and Operations ManagementimfProduction growthimfProductionimfSaving and investmentimfSkillsimfTotal factor productivityimfNigerEconomic conditionsNigerimfIndustrial productivityCapacityCapital accumulationCapital and Total Factor ProductivityCapitalClimateCostEconomic theoryGlobal WarmingHuman CapitalHuman capitalIncome economicsIndustrial productivityIntangible CapitalInvestmentInvestments: GeneralLabor ProductivityLaborLabourMacroeconomicsMacroeconomics: ProductionNatural Disasters and Their ManagementNatural DisastersNatural disastersOccupational ChoiceProduction and Operations ManagementProduction growthProductionSaving and investmentSkillsTotal factor productivityNachega Jean-Claude1816041Fontaine Thomson1816093International Monetary Fund.African Dept.DcWaIMFBOOK9910958654703321Economic Growth and Total Factor Productivity in Niger4371747UNINA
