In this capacity, the companion can be considered a ‘mask of Dionysus’, or one who assumes the singular role of the transmitter of the most valuable affirmative affect and initiates a compulsion to respond which incorporates the otherness of the companion. In the context of such engagements, Nietzsche envisages ‘Dionysian’ or divine ‘madness’ within an optics of life, through which an affirmative ethics can be thought. The ethical response to the philosophical companion requires an affirmation of the plurality of life, formulated in the imperatives to be ‘true to the earth’ and ‘become who you are’. Such an ethics, compelled by the Dionysian affect, grounds any future for humanity in the affirmation of the earth and life.Value inquiry book series ;Volume 320.0929-8436193Murray Peter Durno1131052MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910820063303321Nietzsche and the Dionysian3957149UNINA04379nam 22005053 450 991081005880332120220524144952.01-00-344886-01-000-97361-11-003-44886-01-64267-138-X10.4324/9781003448860(CKB)4100000011996104(MiAaPQ)EBC6695832(Au-PeEL)EBL6695832(OCoLC)1263870768(NjHacI)994100000011996104(EXLCZ)99410000001199610420210901d2021 uy 0engurcnu||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierYou Are a Data Person Strategies for Using Analytics on Campus1st ed.Bloomfield :Stylus Publishing, LLC,2021.©2021.1 online resource (170 pages)Intro -- You Are a Data Person: Strategies for Using Analytics on Campus -- COPYRIGHT © 2021 BY STYLUS PUBLISHING, LLC. -- Table of Contents -- Foreword -- Preface -- Acknowledgments -- Chapter 1: An Optimal Time for Data People -- Chapter 2: The Data Identity Framework -- Chapter 3: How to Progress Along the Data Identity Continuum -- Chapter 4: Back to Basics: Understanding the Balance of Needs, Processes, and Outcomes -- Chapter 5: Data in Action Part 1: 10 Ways to Use Data to Improve Programs and Services -- Chapter 6: Data in Action Part 2: 10 Ways to Use Data to Monitor and Address Students' Progress -- Chapter 7: The Data Identity Self-Assessment Exercise -- Chapter 8: The Future of Data Use on Campus: Intersections of Technology and Human Decision-Making -- Conclusion -- Epilogue -- Appendix A: Supplemental Notes for the Data Identity Self-Assessment Exercise -- Appendix B: Mapping Data Identity Components and Sample Higher Education Job Advertisements -- References -- About the Author -- Index.Internal and external pressure continues to mount for college professionals to provide evidence of successful activities, programs, and services, which means that, going forward, nearly every campus professional will need to approach their work with a data-informed perspective. But you find yourself thinking "I am not a data person".Yes, you are. Or can be with the help of Amelia Parnell. You Are a Data Person provides context for the levels at which you are currently comfortable using data, helps you identify both the areas where you should strengthen your knowledge and where you can use this knowledge in your particular university role. For example, the rising cost to deliver high-quality programs and services to students has pushed many institutions to reallocate resources to find efficiencies. Also, more institutions are intentionally connecting classroom and cocurricular learning experiences which, in some instances, requires an increased gathering of evidence that students have acquired certain skills and competencies. In addition to programs, services, and pedagogy, professionals are constantly monitoring the rates at which students are entering, remaining enrolled in, and leaving the institution, as those movements impact the institution's financial position. From teaching professors to student affairs personnel and beyond, Parnell offers tangible examples of how professionals can make data contributions at their current and future knowledge level, and will even inspire readers to take the initiative to engage in data projects. The book includes a set of self-assessment questions and a companion set of action steps and available resources to help readers accept their identity as a data person. It also includes an annotated list of at least 20 indicators that any higher education professional can examine without sophisticated data analyses. You Are a Data PersonEducation, HigherData processingUniversities and collegesAdministrationData processingEducation, HigherData processing.Universities and collegesAdministrationData processing.378.112Parnell Amelia R.1629598MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910810058803321You Are a Data Person3967431UNINA03179nam 2200745 a 450 991095636340332120241107100649.00-8389-9291-91-283-09918-797866130991810-8389-9290-0(CKB)2670000000088829(EBL)691552(OCoLC)723945673(SSID)ssj0000526691(PQKBManifestationID)12179287(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000526691(PQKBWorkID)10521530(PQKB)10547841(MiAaPQ)EBC691552(Au-PeEL)EBL691552(CaPaEBR)ebr10587966(CaONFJC)MIL309918(ODN)ODN0000585695(EXLCZ)99267000000008882920110325d2011 uy 0engur|n|---|||||txtccrWorkplace learning & leadership a handbook for library and nonprofit trainers /Lori Reed and Paul Signorelli1st ed.Chicago American Library Association20111 online resource (177 p.)Description based upon print version of record.0-8389-1082-3 Includes bibliographical references (p. 151-154) and index. In the beginning : getting to the table -- Collaboration : creating a community of learning -- Trainers as internal consultants and facilitators of change -- Preparing to deliver : from initial idea to moment of delivery -- In the middle : trainers as leaders in the classroom -- When learning happens : supporting learners after class -- Learning from success and failure : the importance of effective evaluations -- Master trainers, master learners : training the trainers -- The end is the beginning : leadership and learning in an onsite-online world -- Appendix : Charlotte Mecklenburg Library employee learning and development curriculum. In this practical resource, leading workplace trainers Reed and Signorelli offer guidance on improving the effectiveness of training programs.Workplace learning and leadershipLibrary employeesIn-service trainingUnited StatesLibrariansIn-service trainingUnited StatesNonprofit organizationsEmployeesIn-service trainingUnited StatesEmployee training personnelCareer developmentOrganizational learningLibrary employeesIn-service trainingLibrariansIn-service trainingNonprofit organizationsEmployeesIn-service trainingEmployee training personnel.Career development.Organizational learning.020.71/55020.7155LAN025000bisacshReed Lori1972-1819667Signorelli Paul1819668MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910956363403321Workplace learning & leadership4380128UNINA
