The framework is based on the notion of formal coding means; the principle of functional transparency; the notion of functional domains; and the notion of systems interaction in the coding of functional domains. The study is based on original analyses of cross-linguistic data. The fundamental finding of the study is that different languages may code different functional domains, which must be discovered by analyzing the formal means available in each language. The first part of the book proposes a methodology for discovering functional domains and the second part describes the properties of various functional domains. The book presents new cross-linguistic analyses of theoretical issues including agreement; phenomena attributed to government; nominal classification; prerequisites for and implications of linear order coding; and defining characteristics of lexical categories. The study also contributes new analyses of specific problems in individual languages.Typological studies in language ;v. 55.Grammar, Comparative and generalStructural linguisticsSystem theoryGrammar, Comparative and general.Structural linguistics.System theory.415ER 720rvkFrajzyngier Zygmunt168843Shay Erin688550MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910956119603321Explaining language structure through systems interaction1235794UNINA01896oam 2200517 c 450 991056302920332120240525094506.010.3726/b12725(CKB)4340000000238774(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/38264(PH02)9783954792207(oapen)doab38264(EXLCZ)99434000000023877420240525d1988 uy 0gerurnnunnnannuutxtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierPalatalisation im Russischen und ChinesischenGabriel Hong1st, New ed.Frankfurt a.MPH0219881 online resource (193 p.), EPDFSlavistische Beiträge220Peter Lang GmbH, Internationaler Verlag der Wissenschaften3-95479-220-6 Einleitung - Phonologie des Russischen - Phonologie des Chinesischen - Experimentelle Untersuchungen - SchlussIn der Reihe Slavistische Beiträge werden vor allem slavistische Dissertationen des deutschsprachigen Raums sowie vereinzelt auch amerikanische, englische und russische publiziert.
