Automatic pattern recognition systems have proven successful in many applications. The wide use of these systems depends on their ability to adapt to changing environmental conditions and to deal with new objects. This requires learning capabilities on the parts of these systems. The exceptional attraction of learning in pattern recognition lies in the specific data themselves and the different stages at which they get processed in a pattern recognition system. This results a specific branch within the field of machine learning. At the workshop, were presented machine learning approaches for image pre-processing, image segmentation, recognition and interpretation. Machine learning systems were shown on applications such as document analysis and medical image analysis. Many databases are developed that contain multimedia sources such as images, measurement protocols, and text documents. Such systems should be able to retrieve these sources by content. That requires specific retrieval and indexing strategies for images and signals. Higher quality database contents can be achieved if it were possible to mine these databases for their underlying information. Such mining techniques have to consider the specific characteristic of the image sources. The field of mining multimedia databases is just starting out. We hope that our workshop can attract many other researchers to this subject.Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence ;1715Data miningCongressesData mining006.3Perner PetraPetrou MariaMLDM'99MiAaPQMiAaPQUtOrBLWBOOK9910767571103321Machine Learning and Data Mining in Pattern Recognition772451UNINA03505nam 22009254a 450 991034822870332120241107095518.09786610290369978113400346411340034639781280290367128029036697802030994760203099478https://doi.org/10.4324/9780203099476(CKB)1000000000253365(EBL)254456(OCoLC)475969029(SSID)ssj0000237793(PQKBManifestationID)11176423(PQKBTitleCode)TC0000237793(PQKBWorkID)10192442(PQKB)11296207(Au-PeEL)EBL254456(CaPaEBR)ebr10272864(CaONFJC)MIL29036(MiAaPQ)EBC254456(oapen)https://directory.doabooks.org/handle/20.500.12854/37817(OCoLC)58600100(FINmELB)ELB140515(ODN)ODN0004066826(ScCtBLL)c3161846-77d8-4304-a47d-775682e164d3(OCoLC)1135853751(oapen)doab37817(EXLCZ)99100000000025336520050321d2006 uy 0engur|n|---|||||txtccrRevolution, reform and regionalism in Southeast Asia Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam /Ronald Bruce St. John1st ed.London ;New York Routledge20061 online resource (298 p.)Routledge contemporary Southeast Asia series ;8Description based upon print version of record.0-415-70184-8 Includes bibliographical references (p. The author highlights the different paths to reform taken by the three neighbours and the effect this has had on regional plans for economic development through the ASEAN and the Greater Mekong Subregion.Through its comparative analysis of the reforms implemented by Cambodia, Laos and Vietnam over the last thirty years, the book draws attention tRoutledge contemporary Southeast Asia series ;8.NonfictionOverDrivePoliticsOverDriveSociologyOverDriveSoutheast AsiaEconomic conditionsSoutheast AsiaEconomic policydemocratickampucheakaysonekhmerlaopartypdrpeoplesrevolutionaryrougeNonfiction.Politics.Sociology.959.05/1POL000000POL023000SOC008000bisacshSt. John Ronald Bruce560535MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910348228703321Revolution, reform and regionalism in Southeast Asia2165259UNINA04852nam 22007455 450 991090017750332120250807143341.09789819700844981970084110.1007/978-981-97-0084-4(MiAaPQ)EBC31741931(Au-PeEL)EBL31741931(CKB)36410319800041(DE-He213)978-981-97-0084-4(EXLCZ)993641031980004120241027d2024 u| 0engurcnu||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierThe Attention Economy A Category Blueprint /by Karen Nelson-Field1st ed. 2024.Singapore :Springer Nature Singapore :Imprint: Palgrave Macmillan,2024.1 online resource (386 pages)9789819700837 9819700833 Includes bibliographical references.Chapter 1 The First Episode -- Chapter 2 Big Little Learnings -- Chapter 3 Attention Science Becomes a Science -- Chapter 4 The Reinvention of Invention -- Chapter 5 A Guide to Now and Next -- Chapter 6 From Realization to Action: the diary of a CPO -- Chapter 7 The Investors -- Chapter 8 Attention to Ethics -- Chapter 9 Back to the Future Gazing.“Attention Economics is the science that the marketing world has desperately needed for at least the last decade. The SOV model, which relates market share to advertising spend, has been a fundamental principle in media planning, but its reliability has diminished due to digital media’s impact. The discrepancy in the commercial value of exposures on different platforms has disrupted the correlation between extra share of voice and market share growth, highlighting the desperate need to incorporate Attention Economics for a more accurate media planning approach. This is why this book is so important.” —Peter Field, Marketing Consultant, Peter Field Consulting, United Kingdom In this compelling sequel, The Attention Economy: A Category Blueprint, takes an in-depth look into the dynamic world of marketing and advertising, unveiling the pivotal role that human attention measurement plays in the present and future landscape. Designed for industry professionals, this book serves as a blueprint, offering profound insights and actionable advice. The book begins by reflecting on the whirlwind of transformations that have shaped the marketing landscape over the past three decades. It then examines the perfect storm of events that has propelled attention economics to the forefront of the industry's agenda. Throughout its chapters, the book catalogs cutting-edge research and tackles critical issues such as attention measurement, metrics, prediction, distraction, data quality and the ethical use of attention data ultimately piecing together the intricate puzzle and offering clarity for industry professionals. Industry leaders and early adopters contribute their insights, offering valuable perspectives on their own experiences and practical applications of attention data. The book’s engaging style blends quick tips, simple explanations of complex concepts and humorous anecdotes to make the content accessible and enjoyable. By blending storytelling and practical advice, the book succeeds in demystifying the intricate world of attention economics. This book is a must-read for marketing professionals seeking to understand the evolving landscape of advertising. It offers a blueprint for change and foresight into the future of the attention economy. In doing so, it becomes an invaluable resource for anyone navigating the challenges and opportunities of today's marketing world. .Advertising media planningCommunicationTelemarketingInternet marketingSocial mediaDigital mediaAdvertisingMedia PlanningMedia and CommunicationDigital MarketingSocial MediaDigital and New MediaAdvertisingAdvertising media planning.Communication.Telemarketing.Internet marketing.Social media.Digital media.Advertising.Media Planning.Media and Communication.Digital Marketing.Social Media.Digital and New Media.Advertising.153.733Nelson-Field Karen935189MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910900177503321The Attention Economy4212243UNINA
