W. Leibniz, and Alexander Baumgarten—in an attempt to recover alternative conceptions of aesthetics and dimensions of thinking lost in the disciplinary narration of aesthetics after Kant. This is done primarily by tracing a variety of "simpletons" that populate the writings of Kleist and Melville. These figures are not entirely ignorant, or stupid, but simple. Their simplicity is a way of thinking; one that author Birgit Mara Kaiser here suggests is affective thinking. Kaiser avers that Kleist and Melville are experimenting in their texts with an affective mode of thinking, and thereby continue, she argues, a key line within eighteenth-century aesthetics: the relation of rationality and sensibility. Through her analyses, she offers an outline of what thinking can look like if we take affectivity into account.Intersections (Albany, N.Y.)Comparative literatureAmerican and GermanComparative literatureGerman and AmericanSenses and sensation in literatureThought and thinking in literatureComparative literatureAmerican and German.Comparative literatureGerman and American.Senses and sensation in literature.Thought and thinking in literature.813/.3Kaiser Birgit Mara1794333MiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910973943403321Figures of simplicity4364669UNINA03160nam 22007335 450 991088781620332120250807140330.09789819761098981976109310.1007/978-981-97-6109-8(MiAaPQ)EBC31681648(Au-PeEL)EBL31681648(CKB)36129049700041(DE-He213)978-981-97-6109-8(MiAaPQ)EBC31747786(Au-PeEL)EBL31747786(EXLCZ)993612904970004120240918d2024 u| 0engurcnu||||||||txtrdacontentcrdamediacrrdacarrierDesign, Fabrication and Testing of Aeroengine Ceramic-Matrix Composite Components /by Xiaochong Liu, Longbiao Li1st ed. 2024.Singapore :Springer Nature Singapore :Imprint: Springer,2024.1 online resource (103 pages)Advanced Ceramics and Composites,2662-9313 ;79789819761081 9819761085 Includes bibliographical references.Introduction -- High-temperature Mechanical Properties of Ceramic-Matrix Composites -- Design, Fabrication and Testing of CMC High-pressure Turbine Guide Vane -- Design, Fabrication and Testing of CMC Combustor Liner -- Design, Fabrication and Testing of CMC Turbine Blisk.Ceramic-matrix composites (CMCs) possess high specific strength and specific modulus and have already been applied in hot-section components of aeroengines. The book focuses on the design, fabrication and testing of different CMC components, e.g., turbine guide vanes, combustor liner, and turbine blisk, etc. The high-temperature mechanical properties, and performance requirements of the aeroengines were also introduced. The book can better help the engineering designers understand the methods used to design and testing in CMC components.Advanced Ceramics and Composites,2662-9313 ;7Ceramic materialsAerospace engineeringAstronauticsComposite materialsMaterialsAnalysisCeramicsAerospace Technology and AstronauticsCompositesMaterials Characterization TechniqueCharacterization and Analytical TechniqueCeramic materials.Aerospace engineering.Astronautics.Composite materials.MaterialsAnalysis.Ceramics.Aerospace Technology and Astronautics.Composites.Materials Characterization Technique.Characterization and Analytical Technique.629.134Liu Xiaochong1767914Li LongbiaoMiAaPQMiAaPQMiAaPQBOOK9910887816203321Design, Fabrication and Testing of Aeroengine Ceramic-Matrix Composite Components4430402UNINA
